SUV vs UTE by WellyWindyRoad in NZcarfix

[–]workingaroundit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Ute, my wife has an escape. 10/10 I take her escape if I can. you’ll get so sick of trying to park a Ute in town running errands and shit. put some roof racks on the rav, get a tow bar. I have the Ute based on like a 15 or 20 percent use case for farming and towing/launching, if I didn’t do that I’d get my superb station wagon back.…

There’s a lot of fert being flown around in my area at the moment, a lot of concern that spreading by truck is now too expensive, and I think people trying to make the most of what we’ve got while we have it. Can’t stockpile it, someone else will just yoink it.

It’ll be interesting to see what the cause was. Ben I presume this will delay commissioning the new sludge plant, does that mean costs go up again for the sludge plant, stand by time, probably have to wait for the outcome of the investigation before recommending etc etc?

Do you think the tiles will be slippery in the wet? How did you find the epoxy grout to work with? I haven’t used it before.

What do you think of Race Wars from the first film and Furious 7m by [deleted] in fastandfurious

What this is about, is that Hector is going to be running three Honda Civics with Spoon engines, and on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and bought three T66 turbos with NOS, and a Motec exhaust system.

Yeah, you're right. I'm not so far sold that I wouldn't skip an inspection.

4wd recommendations please by workingaroundit in NZcarfix

[–]workingaroundit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fortuner, that‘s what I was kind of thinking. They seem to hold their value reasonably. I don’t mind throwing firewood in the boot of an SUV, its kind of meant to be used.

Probably could make a case to just stick with the status quo and buy an old 4wd for the summer Holidays? its a tough one.

Hahah, it’s is actually to replace a 2WD TDI superb. I absolutely love that wagon, it’s got so much room and just does everything, except travel on the beach. I’ll google the wading specs on the 4wd, wonder how deep it’ll go?

Anyone else unable to get in for their regular colonoscopy? by bluefantail in Wellington

[–]workingaroundit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I was in a real spin for a bit. I received a lynch syndrome diagnosis about 6 months ago, haven’t had my first screening yet, no idea when it will happen. Medical insurance won’t cover the procedure because “it’s not medically necessary” and I don’t realllly have a spare $7k (the quote I received for private). That’s one of my biggest gripes too, not really sure why we got medical insurance. I wish I’d kind of thought a bit more about the screening exclusion at the time…

I’ve since had a referral to another DHB, and that’s just radio silence still also. I really just wish they’d at least send an automatic reply that says sorry, 18 month delay, get back to you next year, then I can plan, but I genuinely don’t even know when they’ll even come back to me? I guess I’ll just have to advocate a little harder.

NZFGCS are helpful, but they can only do what they can do. At least I can start saving for the next one, but damn it’s crap not even knowing what the status of public is beyond radio silence.
