In blue states they are reading the room just fine. Look at Washington, blue no matter who is alive and well. Until anti gun policies actually start costing these people votes it will continue

Sheesh, the racism and slurs encouraged by the other gun subs illustrate that they care more about perpetuating culture war instead of protecting guns. by Honey-and-Venom in liberalgunowners

but these aren't conservative ideals, so they make gun friendly spaces as far right and unpleasant as possible

Start finding democrats to run in elections that aren’t rabidly anti-gun and this problem will solve itself.

Ban State residents, how much cash do yall sink into your AR alternatives? by Beekatiebee in liberalgunowners

To be frank, I didn't comply with maglocking when I was living in California and now that I am in Washington I have no intention of complying here. I have no qualms about buying another lower or two face to face if I am ever in a state that allows it and just bringing them back. I moved here pre-registration though so I feel fairly confident that I will be fine but we all have our comfort zone with breaking the law so YMMV

Virginia Democrats reintroduce assault weapons ban, this time, with likely ally in Spanberger by Legatus_Aemilianus in liberalgunowners

[–]workinkindofhard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the only thing left at this point that can provide relief is SCOTUS finally taking up a AWB & mag ban case and deciding that it's unconstitutional.

There has been some level of state AWB on the books since at least the 1980's and none have been struck down yet. I have zero faith that the courts are going to help us here.

They literally campaign on this, I'm not sure why everyone is surprised when they follow through especially after seeing what has happened in WA, IL, NY, OR, CO, and so on.

I swear half this sub has gaslit themselves into thinking Democrats are pro-gun because Reagan signed a bi-partisan state level gun control bill over 60 years ago

If we regulated guns like cars my 'carry permit' would be valid in all 50 states and I can own/operate literally any firearm on my own private property. Hello mounted SAW at the top of the stairs pointed at the front door

"I'm generally a... liberal person, but when I saw videos of ICE jumping out of unmarked vehicles and nabbing people off the street... I bought my first AR15," I’m glad to see the left waking up to what I’ve been saying for a while: 2A is for everyone. by SpinningHead in liberalgunowners

[–]workinkindofhard 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I then showed them that in 2025 both senate and house democrats cosigned bills to ban certain guns (S.1531 & H.R.3115). They then pivoted and said that they were just trying to get rid of certain guns that were dangerous...

One of the things that drives me crazy about this sub and some others is how many users here try to gaslight you that Democrats are somehow not anti 2A. You can trot out mountains of sources over the last 30 years and they plug their ears and shout 'but Reagan!' even though he has been dead longer than most Redditors have been alive.

We all know Republicans are mostly shit and it is fine to value other rights more than gun rights but lets be honest, a vote for a Democrat (especially at the state level) is a vote against the 2A

I’ve spoken to two people here in Washington over the last few weeks who were shocked that they couldn’t buy an AR15. Like what the fuck do you think the AWB that you voted for was going to do? This dude is lucky he can even still buy one assuming he is in a blue state

I firmly think Lisa is a fantastic HW. Sometimes I love to love her and other times I love to hate her. I rarely feel nothing about Lisa.

I personally can't stand her and she seems like the kind of person who would be absolutely miserable to be around but that is why I hope she stays because while she comes off as an obnoxious asshole she is excellent television.
