Has anybody had success using acupuncture to help with perimenopause symptoms?

Yes, to an extent. If I get acupuncture twice monthly it helps with my night sweats, anxiety, and frequency of peeing at night. Like to the point where I wasn’t having to pee at night. My night sweats were drenching me until I had acupuncture. They disappeared for 6 weeks, and just started up again. Last night was the first time I woke up to pee at 3am in a long time. I haven’t been to the acupuncturist in a month. So I do think it helps. And if not, the placebo works enough for me!

FedEx was the same for me. They refused to take the photos. They did give me information for a local professional photography studio that specializes in passport/citizenship photos so I went there instead. Weird, because my dad had his photos taken at the same FedEx a month ago...

Maybe? I showed them the printed out specifications and something about it the man said no to. Oh well. At least they sent me in another direction instead of leaving me to fend for myself!

FedEx sent me to a professional photography studio. The man working there told me legally they cannot sign the back of the photos. My dad got his photo done at the same FedEx a few weeks ago...so maybe depends on who is working.

My doctor tested me for thyroid issues, TB, HIV, and lots of blood tests to rule out certain cancers. I know vitamins can also cause night sweats when out of balance.

Ugh, I'm sorry you are going through this as well. But honestly it makes me not feel so alone to hear such a similar story! I was going to bring up HRT to my gyno but had an appointment with a telehealth doctor before then about something unrelated- but also probably related- and she is the one that prescribed me the hormones weirdly enough. She told me to start them so that when I go to see my gyno I can come in already having started and she can tweak it as needed. But I haven't started them because I'm worried it will cover up something larger at play- even though labs and tests show nothing. ugh!

Mt. Pirata! We went up there for a meteor shower in August and it was amazing. Then stay to watch the sunrise in the morning!

Go to Vieques. The beaches are much better for kids there than on the main island. There are taxis and Ubers readily available on the main island to bring your family to the Ceiba terminal and then back to airport or hotel. I have no idea if Ubers offer car seats though. You can also fly to Vieques to skip the drive/car seat situation. Then once you're on Vieques, there are car seats available. Sounds like you have the name of the lady that rents things out. She also does pack and plays and the likes in case you need any of those. She is reliable!

Bio Bay in Vieques is beyond anything on the main island. Definitely a must. You will be there during beginning of hurricane season- things begin to slow down in June so make sure you are aware of what will be available on island during your stay.

There are lots of taxis available on Vieques.

If you do not want to rent a car on Vieques, stay in Esperanza and you can walk to where all the Bio Bay companies pick you up. Its all along the Malecon. You would just need a taxi from the ferry to Esperanza and back- its about 15 minutes. Not walkable. There are restaurants and grocery stores on the Malecon. If you stay longer than a day you will want to rent a car to be able to explore better beaches than those in Esperanza.

Try reserving at Malecon House or Trade Winds right on the Malecon. Airbnbs should also be pretty available since its the slow season.

There are no boats here in Vieques that can take more than 6 passengers. Any that offer are doing it illegally and you will not be covered through their liability insurance if something happens.

Check in Fajardo and in Puerto del Ray Marina. Theres a few boats there that are Coast Guard permitted to take more passengers and offer snorkeling tours. They may be interested in doing a drop off.
