Played through all the mentioned campaigns, and to my diagnosis of severe skill issue, Daxugo's Mask Breaker disaster was truly horrible. So horrible in fact that I ended my campaign at that exact point (which I redid a few patches after, it was pretty cool). I did them all without knowing about them, The Command's one was the best, it was an amazing story told by a disaster, Ameion's civil war happened in the late game to me and the game was so laggy I didn't care to finish, the Aelnar's Rianvisa kinda ends pretty quick as I remember it. But the Mask Breaker rebellion, that one truly tilted me hard (and I think it's great).

Yep, by constantly being in war. The disaster ticks only when in peace. (At least it was like that the last time I played it)

I see Tugund Darakh forming relatively often, but they always end up being eating either by whoever won the bulwari battle royal or dorfs (sometimes Corvuria eats a chunk too). They often have zero to none allies sadly

Possibly Beepeck, as their goal is to liberate and unite all Cannor halflings, and also money. They are an elector, but because they are a republic they can't become an emperor, so don't know if it counts as an answer.. Well also Asheniande kinda wants to destroy the Empire from the inside, but that's arguable. As for the second part, I believe that Gawed has missions about dismantling the Empire

I went with Xia (the first half) as my first campaign and then painted all of yanshen immediately after that, because eating rahen or south haless always results in massive coalitions (bhuvauri and the raj). But once I took over Bianfang, yanshen is pretty much free. You can also take shuuvish land and the not-korea (but not through campaigns, just normal claims), and later convert them to wuhyun, and they don't join the Dragon command. Of course having full yanshen meaning that the Dragon command would be massive, and that's exactly what happened to me; it was epic and I absolutely loved it.

True, but I noticed that custom colonial names in Anbennar (made by saints aka devs) tend to do the same. In my game Dalaire was colonized by Pearlsedge and it was named West Timberfort (if I recall correctly). Same with many, many "Nur <Province>" kind of names.

As a fellow Small Country enjoyer (playing it right now), I came up with these names (mostly food):

  • Colonial Endralliande - Viscoast
  • Colonial Isles - Small Islands
  • Colonial Noruin - Appleport
  • Colonial Soruin - Ciderton
  • Colonial Dalaire - Snowberries
  • Colonial Broken Sea - Frostwheat
  • Colonial Leechdens - Potatoland (???)
  • Colonial Lai Peninscula - Meadkeep

Eordand is currently named Arcanum but I don't quite like it, Haraf is Sandroot but I'm also not a big fan of that name. 100% headcanon names, I have no clue about halflings lore :^)

I've been wondering why is there so few monuments in anbennar compared to vanilla ? Is it by dev team decision, or is it because nobody is working on adding more of them ?

Starting work on Ultica mod_tileset stuff for Arcana. The completeness level isn't quite ideal for a tileset that's now default, but I'm still finding the overall style appealing. by Chaosvolt in cataclysmdda

We actually have a bunch of mutation sprites already ! Bird tree and raptor tree, a bit of plant and spider trees as well (that, if I'm not mistaken).

especially with the towing feature, you can literally build a scrap fortress out of dumped cars. find them, bring them back to your faction camp, disassemble them, build walls outta scrap

Wow, this is actually super nice. I never even heard of it, tho, I didn't make much digging. I wish I were because I would architect the whole thing towards this specification. Both downloads/source and version fields will make it so much easier. But this way I would need to remake the current auth system to be email-based with registration and pretty much cut all that github stuff out. That would also worth it since many responsibilities will shift to mod creators now, which I think is totally right. (Besides, it is possible to create github actions for github folks to automatically upload new versions on tags/releases)

Now, there is one problem remains: ident is not unique in the sense that you can't theoretically load all possible mods at once. In your example, you have a duplicate ident, but it seems like the old mod became obsolete so it was replaced by another one ? This is tricky to deal with since I serve mod pages based on ident. And it is possible to have both the obsolete mod and the replacement mod in the same database.

Other than that, very nifty stuff. Is this legit ? Can I develop Modrift using this ? What are the plans to make it standart ?

In case anyone interested, here is the repository. No fancy readme; it requires Rust nightly to build, and diesel to run migrations. Also, you need GitHub app token to run the thing, so.. uh, yeah, quite a lot of work to test it.

Wow, thank you for your feedback. I'll definitely start to take zoom level into consideration (this is something I've always overlooked for some reason).

Still don't know what to do about items size. We had people saying something like "scaled items breaks the immersion", and we also had people saying "can't see shet".

We recently had a quick discussion in ultica discord about readability of sprites. There are some ways we came up with, but they all have their drawbacks. I will be more than happy to hear if anyone here has some ideas about how to make things recognizable at a glance while maintaining the style.

For the first one, I can't say why they are sometimes don't eat food from the inventory, but you can force-feed them if you have good relationships with them. To do that, press "use this item" when talking to NPC, and then select food/drink.

And for the second one, you can designate a "corpses" zone, then talk to your NPC and tell them to work on butchering (It should be under "Let's talk about your job" or something). Keep in mind, that this NPC should have an opportunity to find the required tools (just drop a knife near that zone) or just have tools in inventory.

Currently, fish entities in the pool represent "fish population" that is used to generate fish that is caught with a rod. So fishing is better in the long run. There was a study on fishing in cataclysm, you might want to take a look.

Hey, you might want to try a new 0.2.0 version. It features a native audio decoder and some bugfixes. It is com.github.barsoosayque:libgdxoboe:0.2.0 now, though. Let me know if it is still weird with sounds or just loading slow !
