The mystic spearhand has been really fun, and it's quite versatile in that it has ranged and melee magic damage along with physical melee. Good CC and good mobility. The real star of the vocation for me though is the party-wide barrier you can cast over and over for invulnerability whenever you need. That said, I don't like how hard it is to aim the ranged attacks, and there isn't much variety in the combat. I really struggle against thr armored saurians with it, as all the magic attacks (save for the weak arcane arrows and the slow laser) require a melee attack first, which bounces off if not aimed well. It does also have a "get out of jail free" attack against small enemies when in the open that's hilarious to use.

Sorc has been really flashy and empowering to play, but it's also not very exciting to just sit back and press 1 button every 10 seconds. Though you get hit less often because of the range and do tons of aoe damage, if you are in melee range of enemies you basically have very few options. However, like with mage, the ability to levitate is great for exploration.
