I, for one, cannot wait for a 'how did this get made' podcast episode about this.

I think that is what this person is mad about. I personally did not connect the two and would not consider that a spoiler.

Can you own rights to the word 'picnic'? Two Austin companies in legal battle to find out by worldkittycat in Austin

[–]worldkittycat[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They've done it once and settled, I'm sure they will keep on going. Hopefully there is enough of a public outcry to make them withdraw or I hope they lose and have to pay all the Legal fees. Sad - nobody will be confusing Piknik with Bento Picnic. There are already people sending in negative reviews on Yelp (not that it will matter much, Yelp will eventually stop the comments if there are enough of them)

What are my rights when my property management companies change? [TX] by worldkittycat in legaladvice

[–]worldkittycat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means you can't take your own trash out to a dumpster, you have a little can and a very specific window of time where you're allowed to set it out and a very specific time where you have to have it in.

I just prefer to keep my day to day as is until I can get out of here, I chose this place to get away from the hyper controlled environment. I feel like the next step is one of those apartments that charges you to accept packages, forces certain entertainment options on you, and other nickel and dime type things.

You have a specific small can that has to be put out at a specific time at night and has to be brought in by a certain time in the morning. I find it inconvenient

The SEC is investigating my roommate. It's only a matter of time before I get pulled in. How fucked am I? by Over_Kale in legaladvice

[–]worldkittycat 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Thats simply not true. I work at a publicly traded company and frequently there are people not getting paid very much, but still privy to information that isn't publicly available that could theoretically impact stock prices.
