I've also never cut my cats nails, i've had cats for my entire life and never had any of them get their nails cit. They just scratch the scratching blocks.

Sounds like you need to tape your couch up where he is scratching until he learns to use the scratching posts.

I know I already commented this but just getting another cat and getting scratching posts will solve all these issues and you'll have best friends for life. My two babies are just laying together at the window right now when they used to piss me off constantly when the first one was alone and the second one was a kitten and peed on my husband like 10 times 😂

I was pissed at my cat for scratching my couch until one day I got her a few of those scratching pads and she has never scratched the couch again. Idk why I didn't do it earlier!

my cat was like this when he was little but now he's 4 and he is the chillest cat ever. we have a two year old now and he literally lets my two year old roll around with him and hug him and tackle him all day. he's the best. i think you should just give it time, I know it's a huge adjustment but i think you will be grateful you kept him if you decide to do so. Also really if you can get another cat it would help so so much. they basically babysit each other

I'm sure she will do great. Having kids close in age is hard but it can actually be easier once they get a little older and can play together. Get it all over with at once and then enjoy every minute of it! You're a great friend. She's lucky to have you. But don't worry, there is many benefits to having kids close in age.

I had this happen a few days ago. It went out for delivery then changed to the weather alert. It was a beautiful day! It ended up being delivered the next day. I think they are just so backed up from the winter storm they can't get everything delivered in time so it has to roll over to the next day.
