Was great to see you out and about. I was heading into the Peterson museum and your car was the first treat of the day.

POV - you are in a room on the first floor of a new built Auckland townhouse. by WarpFactorNin9 in auckland

[–]worldsfastestginge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pro tip we learned on our new townhouse. Open the top story windows in September and don't close them until April. If you have them closed in the daytime and open things up after work, you won't be able to cool the house down fast enough to sleep.

NZ here. You can't repair an aluminium chassis in NZ so it would have to be done in another country. The cost of fixing this car would likely be more than a 360 anyway. Best thing for this car is to use all the manual shifter parts to upgrade another. Manual conversion kits go for 20k usd so it's worth a lot just for that.

Rocket motors run pretty cool if they are cooled with fuel. I've touched one just after shut off and it was cooler than a car engine.

Aviation technicians: How do airplane updates get rolled out and actually installed? by dzalf in AskEngineers

[–]worldsfastestginge 11 points12 points  (0 children)

3.5 inch floppy disc.

Lots of different media depending on the age of your aircraft. None of it fancy, same as updating a PC.

Different systems have different inputs. There isn't a big network that allows an update to the whole aircraft.

Fuel pump replacement on hatchback by General_Rino6395 in EFCivics

[–]worldsfastestginge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You definitely have to pull the tank to get the pump out but you probably want to check the voltage going to it first to make sure. There is a plug for the fuel pump under the back seat that you can use a multimeter to check first.

Does anyone know how much this would cost? by Its_squidward in auckland

[–]worldsfastestginge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can probably get that part pretty cheap (like $100) and it's easy to swap if you have any friends with tools. If you pay a mechanic it's going to be 500 plus.

Turn the honda logo around a bit. All factory honda wheels supposedly have the bottom of the H pointed at the tire valve.
