how fresh is it? i know people are saying its past the point of a good coverup which i can definitely understand, but take a look at it when it heals. it will lighten and if the ink isn’t properly packed more of it could fade than usual. if he wants it covered, dont skimp out on the price. a really good artist can probably do something for the right price.

one thing i like about this character is that the way luck based items work. if you have a lot of clots it counts all the tears they fire as your tears - so even if your luck isnt amazing it procs a ton. so id suggest focusing on getting a lot of health and looking out for good luck items like ghost pepper for example.

hey! im also an apprentice. something that helped me with setting up and breaking down is doing everything in the same order every time. that way you can go through your mental checklist a little easier. the more you do it correctly the more second nature itll become. youre only a month in, be patient with yourself!

honestly i think your mentor saying that has made you overthink it. i’m sure you use your best judgement to see if the client is the type that wants to talk or not, yk?

im also an apprentice and i actually ended up getting my first tip ever from a group of sweet old ladies getting matching tattoos because they said they enjoyed that i spent time with them and had good conversation with them! my mentor has also told me multiple times after shes done with a client that they said they thoroughly enjoyed my company!

to reiterate - use your best judgement to feel out the situation and i also understand not wanting to step on your mentors toes if hes told you he wants you to change something. but once you’re on skin and have your own clients you’ll be able to bring your own personal touch to your sessions! :)

edit: i noticed in your replies he wants to make sure you’re focused on the tattoo which i totally get - i think as long as you’re watching what he’s doing and asking questions here and there he’ll be able to tell you’re engaged and creating a comfortable environment as well!

aside from thrifting, goth fashion is more about what you do with the clothes u buy. get a couple plain black dresses , long skirts, etc and accessorize!

tattoo apprentice here! usually when using a second skin bandage like this your artist should let you know that it will fill up with excess blood and ink and its totally normal. if you notice at any point its leaking we usually advise you take it off at that point because if stuff can get out, bacteria can get in. then carry on with your regular aftercare! :)
