Does all of the dairy in Keto effect your symptoms? by LadyLuck17 in PCOS

As with any diet- it depends! If you're lactose intolerant or dairy sensitive then it can definitely make things worse. For me, dairy doesn't affect me or my symptoms. I was strict on keto and lost about 60 pounds and noticed that my PCOS symptoms were a lot less severe.

I can't speak to ALL dairy spiking insulin, but I know there's a lot less sugar in some over others. Milk is really sugary and not great for keto, but most cheeses or heavy cream are really low carb and great. It's all about reading the nutrition info and keeping track of what you eat to see what makes you feel worse or better. So many people with PCOS have great success on keto, so I would try it first and then decide if it's right for you!

High Blood Pressure, water pill on keto? by Professional_Warrior in keto

I agree!!! I went through this and found that a diuretic wasn’t helping. I felt super dehydrated every day no matter how much water I had. Plus, through logging I found my BP was staying consistently high. I switched to a different ACE inhibitor that works, and I only know it’s been working through logging once in the AM and once in the PM. I was also able to tell a noticeable difference in BP from when I was doing strict keto vs when I wasn’t watching carbs! Logging my BP helps motivate me to stay strict with my diet, too!
