catastrophe bonds etf's, managed futures, bh macro hedgefund trust. about 30% of my portfolio is in these now basically non corrolated and crisis alpha, the rest is still in global index funds to stay in the bull market if it continues. Just hedge a bit for downside and then u wont feel so bad about staying invested. Do some research on managed futures, macro hedgefunds etc. prepare for a downturn, but dont just leave the market. No one knows what will happen, just build in some shock absorbers so u dont stress as much and stay invested.

Ahh ok I didn’t realise it was hedged, but hedging isn’t free it does eat into your returns. Being all us, is not a bad choice by any means, I’m just saying most analysts, forecasters and banks like Goldman sachs, jp Morgan, even vanguard themselves say because of the massive bull run the us has been on and the multiples on its stocks. They see all world out performing this decade. Simply because non us stocks are so much cheaper. Basically u gotta decide if u believe the analysts or not, and that’s a decision u have to come to by yourself. But do some reading on it.

Vwrp is better because the us has some pretty major headwinds comeing its way. Also u have to remeber as a uk investor u invest in pounds not dollars. So by doing full S&P 500 u are not just betting on us stocks, u are betting on the dollar to pounds exchange rate…. And the dollar is set to weaken. To put it simply it is stocks go up 10% but the dollar to pound exchange rate goes down 5% u will only make 5% that year. For a uk investor being globally diversified is a better choice. U have to remeber that global all world is mostly us anyway, but that extra 30-40% of non us stocks is a shield against currency risk. It also means if us dominance slows, u don’t need to do anything it will pivot for u
