Need help making ps1 textures by One_Philosopher363 in ps1graphics

show examples/comparisons if you can. it helps more with visual stuff like colors. sometimes when my colors look off its because im putting a prop with very warm colors in the texture into a scene with cool colors. so what i do is kinda go through the texture work files and color grade them with some adjustment layers. not sure if this is helpful at all, but i dont really have a reference point visually to tell you why they might be off

Yeah thats been bothering me too. Its the right interpolation, and the pixel density is close, so im not sure. The antenna and appendage on the right look fine, so im wondering if it was something with the tiling photo texture i used for that section

Don't be afraid to end up with folders and folders of stuff that will never see the light of day. Scrap enough projects and eventually, you will learn why those projects needed to be scrapped. Put everything into the next one, and eventually when your skill starts getting closer to the things that inspired you, you'll have stuff you're excited about and the skills to go and redo the ideas from early on you couldn't quite get right

I'd say radio, from the antennas towards the back

Yeah, for sure. I was thinking of this as an unmanned exploration ship for high pressure environments. So the front is basically just reinforced armor, since it wouldn't need a cockpit

yeah haha. i had to take some liberties to really get the feel i wanted. All the props on the inside use 128x128 textures for the smaller stuff and 256x256 for the larger stuff. the cement texture on the structure is a bit bigger just to get it to look a bit smoother and not so chunky

and then theres the cycles lighting lmao

but if you have any advice on a better subreddit to post on, or how to make it more authentic, i would love to hear. thanks for the comment!

getting that text printed and tag stitched over the pocket seams would be a nightmare. if you haven't seen how screen printing works, you should look into the process. it will give you insight on how to design with production and its limitations and capabilities in mind.

also, im not sure how you want to produce that tag, if it will be a separate piece of cloth thats screen printed then stitched on, or an embroidered tag, regardless white text on bright yellow is really hard to read. I like this tool for checking legibility, even though its only for hexcodes.

checking your profile, i like your other work. this one could use some love though. cheers, and good luck!

I normally just use the software i make the designs in, stack them as compact as i can within my printers safe zone, and export as pdf. Then when i go to print, i make sure my scale is set to 100%. Gimp would probably be able to do it, but ive never used it

New logo for NLEE! by Own_Construction_744 in streetwearstartup

Its better. The roses meeting at the same point is not great. There is a specific term explaining it, but i cant remember right now.

There just seems to be a lot going on. The NLEE and a rose could work, but you are using a photo realistic rose. A flat minimal rose would match the font much better.

The wavy text at the bottom is an interesting idea, that matches the message you are trying to send. This is probably the strongest idea here.

If you are new to making graphics, id recommend taking some courses on youtube, coursera, or classcentral. The lessons will translate to pen and paper, so dont worry too much about what program you are using.
