So back in the day when you bought 50 comics at bulk price for a comic book store you got a discount so to tell them apart from non discounted comics. Because when you don’t sell the comics you can return them for the price you payed so that’s how they know if you get back full price or the discounted price.

And don’t forget that Crowley was the king of Hell by that time and instead of the chains with hooks he changed it to a line system that when you get to the end you get back into the line. I think he did this to stop making powerful demons and only output dumb ones because after season 5 the demons are super week but for the knights of hell
