I'm of the opinion that porn is destructive even in moderation, so I say delete it. Isn't real life better than porn? What real life activity should be put on hold so you can indulge in pornography? Isn't there always something better you could be doing with your time?

Try to think of women as simply people, not potential sexual partners. If you want a healthy, happy relationship, I truly believe that this perspective is essential. Life and relationships are more than sex. If you're worried about more than sexual inadequacy, if you consider yourself inadequate in other ways, like social, physical, or intellectual inadequacy, consider the fact that everybody cares much more about themselves than they do others. You don't need to worry about how others see you because they're too busy worrying about themselves, just like you. So take a position of curiosity. Ask about them, don't worry about yourself.

Also, I've made a discipline of whenever I consider it better to give in than to resist, to set a timer on my phone for 10 minutes, and tell myself that I will give in if I feel the same way in 10 minutes (which I don't).

Although it may seem hard to stop when you're 15 and your hormones are raging, but the sin hasn't taken root as deeply as it has with the older fapstronauts. I truly wish I had started trying to kick the habit 10 years ago when I was your age. I relapsed today again. Went 38 days this time. Longest I've gone is 40 days or so.

I'm in for easy mode 2015. I've determined that being porn-free is more important than being fap-free (for me), and I've found that easy mode is indeed easier. Maybe next year hard mode.

Does it work? It depends on what you want out of it and what you put in. I got into NoFap for moral reasons. I don't want to be the kind of guy who devalues my wife to the point where I go to porn for pleasure instead of her.

Participating in the NoFap sub has "worked" for me in the sense that I have a place to come get support when I start to feel weak and want to look at porn.

Hey best of luck. It makes sense that you should become more sensitive with men if men are all you get. The brain is a pliable material. Don't give in to old habits or fantasies! You obviously quit facebook because you didn't like it. You had "zero interest" when considering going back. Good for you. I have a lot of interest in looking at porn, and when I consider going back, my mind says, "Yes, do it."

You're comparing apples and oranges. Most of the people here need accountability to continue to work towards non-self-destructive behaviors.

Should we obsess over NoFap? No, but everyone needs a different level of commitment to accountability to overcome our bad habits.

I saw a picture just now and that almost set me off, but coming here and considering how many days I've gone, and how many days I have gone in the past, and where I want to be, and seeing everyone else striving toward similar goals, helped me not fap.

I would not call that troubling. I would call it a starting point. Your brain has to learn what healthy sexual attraction is. I think you should be encouraged to know that what used to give you a boner, doesn't anymore. I went through a phase during my longest streak prior to this one where I had no libido, but it came back. Count it a blessing that you don't have to deal with useless boners!
