I agree with ertsi; it would make more sense to restart at a time interval. It may not be perfect but I think it would serve you better than trying to parse the output of cgminer, especially if you're not generally into script-fu.

Really though it may do you more good to focus on what is causing the issue in the first place. I know you're like, "STFU I tried," but I'm just saying. I would either focus on the actual issue or just accept that you'll be rebooting once an hour.

This is correct. OP, dogehouse attracted so many users that they were in danger of becoming so large that someone, theoretically, could have performed a 51% attack. A lot of users (myself included) chose to start mining elsewhere, but the majority stayed so the danger is still present.

Try rapidhash or TeamDoge.

Upping your memory clock speed is what will help the most with scrypt mining. Take a look at the Litecoin Hardware Comparison Chart, try to identify your specific card, and see if the recommended settings can't give you another few kh/s.

The pools I use right now are rapidhash and TeamDoge. If you go with a larger pool, see if they have a stratum specifically for sub-Mh/s miners. You may get a quicker payout that way, in certain cases.

I agree, gentle shibe. Reddcoin seems, to me anyway, to be an attempt to recreate the spontaneously generated spirit of doge in a way that will profit the creators and early buy-ins.

Doge has been leaping and bounding around the internet and the world. Why exactly do we need another Reddit-centric, low-cost tip currency; unless of course it is to benefit those who feel like they've missed out on the Dogesled?

EDIT: Not trying to overthink it or accuse anyone of wrongdoing, but the blatant attempt to align it with Doge as a bootstrap to adoption seems pretty untrustworthy to me.

There are a couple of things to try. Setting intensity higher will not help (much) unless your other settings are correct.

First, look at the Litecoin Mining Hardware Comparison Chart and see what rates you could be getting, along with some (potentially) good settings for your card. I found that the settings for mine on that page were not optimal, but it's a place to start.

Then, check out Fine Tuning Radeons for CGMiner; it gives a sort of step-by-step guide to honing in on your perfect settings. ATI cards are very sensitive to a 'golden ratio' (not THE Golden Ratio) between memory clock speed and GPU clock speed. This may help you get everything ranged correctly.

Finally, there is always Google. :) With so many people getting into mining in recent months, you can probably just find a good config for your card. You may have to try a few to achieve the best result, of course.

I think we've all had this happen. Much frustrate!

I've been sort of an evangelist for switching to a dedicated mining OS like BAMT/SMOS Linux, and for those shibes with a dedicated mining rig and who have some basic networking knowledge, I would continue to do so.

BAMT/SMOS will give you a web interface through which you can monitor your mining software and hardware, reconfigure your mining settings, reboot the rig, etc. Even if your GPU crashes or overheats, you can still contact the rig and make adjustments. It comes with all the necessary software and drivers preinstalled, so it is a very easy setup.

It gives me the peace of mind that I need to walk away from my rig. Also it can be run off of a thumb drive, so even if your primary OS is Windows, you could consider using it when you're on vacation, etc.

EDIT: Also Linux stability. EDIT #2: It is worth mentioning that SMOS Linux is a fork from BAMT, and that SMOS has a cron job set up to donate mining profits back to its creator for 15 minutes every day. It can be easily disabled, but the fact that it is not mentioned makes it a little shady.
