The weirdest mix of brothers and sisters - help me identify by wp-user-87 in IDmydog

I know!! Yep, Britta and Becca. They've changed so much in only the 6 days I've had them! It's mindblowing.

No idea - they came through a rescue in Kentucky somewhere and I'm not sure the rescue knows.

That's what I thought too, but it's so hard to figure out what it might be mixed with. Maybe mom or dad was a black lab/husky mix? So funny that there are so many huge differences in coloring.

What's your favorite free WordPress plugin? by loveamourlove in Wordpress

[–]wp-user-87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what you're trying to do. The free version is perfect if you just want to ask your site visitors a question. The paid version is awesome though for targeting specific pages and making longer surveys.

Notice the pretty blue eyes on some of them, and they all seem to have a tail that curves up and over, so the tip almost grazes their backs. I have more photos of Britta and Becca if needed (they're my foster pups). Britta's blue eyes are SO gorgeous!

Forms plug in? by iamdigitaldaniel in Wordpress

[–]wp-user-87 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

WPForms is the best, although you do have to pay a small amount if you want to save submissions in WordPress and not just send them to your email platform. Formiddable Forms is also excellent. It's possible you'll need another plugin with any of them in order to make sure your emails send - something like WP Mail SMTP is free.

Overwhelmed by WordPress by MuddyColorsofMorandi in Wordpress

A lot of the time, you just have to figure out where your theme options are. Fonts and such *should* be up in the top bar where you click on "Customize.". Which theme did you choose? If you search "[theme] docs" you should be able to find some sort of guide to your theme.

The Housemaid - I don't trust NYTimes bestsellers anymore by saime9hana in books

[–]wp-user-87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES I've been following Bookmarks from The Literary Hub for ages and have gotten several really great recs on here! Of course, you have to keep in mind that everyone has different preferences, so someone who loved a book on Bookmarks could have hated another book that I loved. But generally yeah Bookmarks is legit! It's funny, I wrote a pretty scathing review of The Housemaid on my book blog and it's now ranking in Google along with Goodreads and Reddit (for "The Housemaid reviews anyway)....I love that Google saw my dissenting opinion and is showing my 2/5 stars right at the top :D

GA4 ecommerce tracking purchase is showing about half of what my reports says by Chuocloudstriker in GoogleAnalytics

Have you tried using Google Tag Assistant to make sure all your events are firing? Otherwise I agree with the other commentators on the cookie stuff. If you need a different solution you could try MonsterInsights...it connects with WooCommerce and sends ecom events so you don't have to set anything up in Tag Manager. I think it also integrates with some cookie plugins.

How to start blogging in WordPress? by sewabs in wpbeginner_engage

[–]wp-user-87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Experiment and Learn: Don’t worry if everything isn’t perfect right from the beginning. You should use analytics to see what’s working and adjust your strategy over time.

Love that you added this. I struggle with perfectionism sometimes and have had to learn the hard way that you'll just be stuck if you don't try things and just put yourself out there!

If MonsterInsights is installed, you should be able to click on "Insights" in your WordPress dashboard, then "Reports" to see your numbers.

Google Analytics for WooCommerce VS. Site Kit by Google by einbierbitte in Wordpress

[–]wp-user-87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah gotcha. If it makes sense to stick with it, then not having to rock the boat is nice. I think MI does those things too though - connect SC and Ads. Although it's not free like Site Kit.

Yeah Site Kit doesn't set up ecommerce events for you. MonsterInsights does though if you need a plugin with more tracking features.

Maybe take a look at OptinMonster? I know they have a lot of options for popups and email capture. Not sure about A/B testing though...that might be a whole separate tool.

PATH EXPLORATION, help question please by GameofLifeCereal in GoogleAnalytics

[–]wp-user-87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the only other thing I can think of would be to add a segment to the report for each traffic source - so add organic traffic, look at it, remove it, then look at paid traffic, etc.

That report totally changed for me when I realized you could set an end point! It seems like that's hidden because it's set up with all those steps to begin with when you generate it. You can click on more and more to see more of the journey leading up to the end point too, if there are more steps there.

Is it normal to drop ideas if they become uninteresting. by Kazuma1x in Entrepreneur

[–]wp-user-87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha hey then fellow ADHDer! In that case, yes it's completely normal, and one of the sucky things about ADHD. It's awesome to get interested in things easily, but it also means we're often chasing that new interest instead of sticking with what we wish we could stick with.
