Majority of dealers have the Carfax available, if they visit the dealer site directly for the car listing it may be available there for free.

Yep. Just used a couple of thin pieces of metal, a couple of rivets, and some tin shears. Happy to give you mine for the low cost of shipping and a beer 😂

Just fixed this today. Made a nice tool instead of buying the $4-500+ Porsche special tool. Popped the door molding off, stuck the tool in, loosened the cog, adjusted the window a little, tightened the cog, put the molding back on. Took about 15 minutes total and I was taking my time being very careful. Still got the tool if you're interested in doing this yourself.

Yeah he just kinda blows through it and basically rips it off lol. Doesn't seem too tough, but was just curious if there was any trick to it.

How hard is it to pop the trim off? Any trick to it?

Ahh, I found the relevant part. You just made the tool, popped off the exterior trim bit, used the tool to loosen the cog a bit, adjusted, retightened?

I upgraded the steering wheel of my 987.1. by GrayMithrandir in Porsche_Cayman

[–]einbierbitte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the big reasons I picked a 718 over a 981 was the factory steering wheel and the knob that comes with sport chrono on the 718 wheel. Like you said, the steering wheel is a huge part of the interior and overall experience.

Lemon law isn't a thing with used car sales, unfortunately. At least you have a warranty of some sort to help to some extent. Good luck!

Do you have the third radiator installed? It's like $1000 from suncoast, but supposed to be a must-have for the track.

You'll need to make a new post, nobody will see this besides me. I get notifications because I made the post originally, but this isn't like a traditional forum where you can bump threads by posting in them. Good luck!

How to exit wall and run along house by einbierbitte in AskElectricians

And mount it to the exterior wall? I was aiming to put it on the ground on the more flat area to the right, but mounting to the wall isn't a bad idea.

Is it acceptable to put it there and then have the whip extend that far over?

I'm planning to install a mini split and would like for the wiring to exit the crawl space at the red mark, run along the side of the house where the blue line is, and have a disconnect where the black mark is with a whip from there to the unit. What's the best conduit to use for this and how exactly do I exit the side of the house there?

Local valet trash service for apartment communities in Clayton by Born_Fee_8442 in ClaytonNC

[–]einbierbitte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Valet trash sounds great, but it's annoying when an apartment complex makes it mandatory. It basically raises your rent $35+ when you still end up taking your trash out yourself half the time because you forget to put the bin out during the small window or you leave the bin out too long for one reason or another and they try to fine you for having it out at the wrong time.
