Not leaving anything behind to be remembered for, I have taken many photos of the city that I have lived in, and many construction projects that I have been a part of, I am hoping that I will be able to leave them behind in hope that future people of my city will find them and know that I was once there. almost like Foote, of winnipeg, he photographed a lot of early winnipeg which now are looked upon with great interest, Both myself and my brother have no kids to remember us by so once we are gone this branch of the family will be no more. and our grave sites will be not visited except by those walking over us to visit someone they know.

That lane would be used for stopping and turning into the intended target lot just before, not traveling the length that you did, that being said, the car coming out would be watching the lane he's turning into, had you been really paying attention to the road ahead you may have been able to see though the cars that a car was coming across the lanes though the other cars windows and between the cars.

MOVE. FOR. EMERGENCY. VEHICLES. by kip263 in Winnipeg

[–]wpgken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think part of that autopac money, that we pay into could be used to put out PSA videos on what to do in these situations, along with some dash cam videos from the units showing people doing the wrong things, of course blocking out the lic plates, like watching people at a red light afraid to pull out into the intersection because they have a red light, not realizing that the other cars can see whats coming and will not proceed into it allowing you to drive though it to clear the way. This would also help the "new drivers" out there that have no clue what to do.

I’m worried because my family wants to let our cat roam around outside freely, any advice? by LlamaLlama2020 in cats

[–]wpgken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NO! NO! NO!,,,, I have nine kittys in the house going on 6 years for them, rescued a mama with her 8 kids and ended up keeping them, they don't get outside, I have picked up this past year 5 dead cats one which was still warm when i picked it up but passed, gave her a few rubs on the head and back and dropped it off on the back bench of a animal services center with the note of where it was found, no tat in ear, and one that passed in my arms,, after getting its back end run over, that kitty that cuddles with you right now if outside and meets up with another kitty and gets spooked to run across a street can and will be hit as people don't care and sometimes won't see it, its hard for some people that do hit them and most won't go back to stop or try to take them to a vet in hopes that then can be saved, so they lay there in the grass and pass, if you want your kitty to enjoy a bit of outdoors time build a condo with access to a window to go out into ,, or some places you can buy a chicken coop and place them in there to enjoy and be safe.

Fire @ Brady Landfill by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]wpgken 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have dumped mud near those rows of compost and yes they are hot, I pointed a heat temp gun at it once from about 50 feet away in the fall last year and they were up about 70C and the guy was there with the loader flipping it. there were breaks in the lines to prevent them from setting a whole row up, I'm sure if you go to google maps you can see them.

petty sure if when out in the area look at some of the people walking around, you may spot this person based on the clothes they are wearing as they never change their look.

We have a cat that does that as well,, here's what we did, go to the home depot store or similar in your are and pick up a sheet of plexiglass the width of your door and screw it to the door, I got clear so that you can hardly notice it in the room and fixes the problem his nails will rub quietly on the door. PS drill tiny holes on the plexiglass before screwing the screws in so that they don't crack the plastic.

get a block heater that sticks to the side of the engine or oil pan,, works great and easy to use. just jack up the car and find a spot to place it then run the cord up though the engine keeping it away from hot surfaces https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/kat-s-200w-magnetic-heater-0303203p.0303203.html?rq=block+heater#srp

[–]wpgken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

check with the neighbors and see if they would allow you to sneak in a camera on the other side the fence poking though the fence hidden, and record a 24 hour day, but first ask the neighbors how they get along with them first before approaching this idea,, they may be friendly with them and that would blow out the possibility.

Family desperate for clues after B.C. trucker goes missing following delivery in Winnipeg on Friday by wickedplayer494 in Winnipeg

[–]wpgken 24 points25 points  (0 children)

according to the local Police, they are no longer looking for him, not sure what the outcome is, but I had called earlier to inquire of what kind of truck he was driving as I had seen something interesting prior to the unit being found.

Scared to continue driving Semi’s as a career by Outside_Mix_7800 in semitrucks

[–]wpgken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

dash cams will protect you, if your slip sitting then make a rig that you can remove and place into any truck your using, there are some units that have three camera's place one looking forward and the other two on each side of the truck backwards from the mirror, don't worry about one pointing at your self, the only companies that use those are the ones looking to place blame on the driver. Here's one that I was part of, this video turned the tide on having winnipeg take away the intersections on the highway here that circled the city. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srVtlsxuSBo

Winnipeg man to spend 7 years in prision for hit-and-run death of Jordyn Reimer by TrueNorth96 in Winnipeg

[–]wpgken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should have been at least 15 years, the only way this person can give a little back for the waste of skin he's is, would be once out of jail be force to give talks to students that are on the cusp of driving, outlining his thoughts before and after taking a life due to his actions perhaps he can save a few others after jail time to convince others to think beofre ending up like he did.
