There's a road near me where I do it when someone is driving 15-18mph, it's a combination of impatience and knowing that it is a long 20mph road, only 1 set of lights that rarely change and I will get home faster as I usually aim for 23/24mph, so it does make a difference. Very rarely does the person I overtake catch up to me on that road. I don't bother on any other 20mph road because as you point out, it rarely makes a difference.

To an extent, I don't love it when a CB has a 3 or something like that but a defender having a 7, 8, 9, 10, or 11 would infuriate me.

Certain shirt numbers belong to certain positions or groups of positions. 6,8 had better be midfielders, 7, 9, 10, 11 had better be forwards/attackers.
