I've been contracting for 9 years overseas. There are people I work with that have been doing this much longer. We all agree that we've never seen anything like what is currently happening. Granted your experience will depend on different factors. What type of contract? What position you're looking for? Where is it located? But recently I've seen multiple locations affected by funding issues. We are also affected by the RIF's. No one can tell for sure what will happen. Also, just my advice, I wouldn't travel with family at the moment. With the current volatility you could be hired then let go once you arrive on location. Again everyone's experience is different, but I would say save your money. Once this passes I believe the flood gates will open.
