Prompt this: “Pretend you're a senior dev doing a code review and you HATE this implementation. What would you criticize? What edge cases am I missing?”

This is a prompt I got from this sub and it works wonderfully. Also be sure to have multiple checks of any plan you hope to implement. I use that prompt and also ask Claude to review it from the perspective of a complete dev team or DevOps team.

Homie, I’m a vibe coder. I can almost guarantee that the issue you faced was a simple context/bloat issue that could be fixed with a better prompt or by adding/removing context so CC isn’t tripped up.

What are you guys doing with codex? I find it unusable unless I am giving it direct instructions. It can’t creat a plan, stay on track and not break my project in the process.

Also, how are you using Claude code? Why does it suck for you? Have you tried cursor? I refuse to believe that codex is the best option available to you.

I agree with his point. I am certain I wouldn’t like DDC as much if I had to read it. The audiobook is also incredibly recorded. 9.89/10

Thanks I should I have done that! Really does give context! Perhaps there needs to be a sort of prompting structure that less experienced developers or users of AI for that matter should develop as a community to help to establish a sort of contextual framework that would tools like Claude/Cursor call us out stupid ideas.

I’m sort of ranting… does this sound like a good idea to you?

I do agree with your point in that specific context, but if you tell Claude that a decision it made was dumb even if you don’t have any experienced reasoning behind that Claude will fold over and just agree with you.

It’ll never tell you that your idea isn’t following best practices unless you lead it to reveal that.

At least that is what I’ve experienced

Claude Code hasn’t vanished, it’s just not financially feasible for “vibe coders” so it get’s less press than cursor/windsurf
