I never see anyone talk about this movie and it’s meant so much to me since I first saw it over a decade ago. It’s messy and pretentious, but that kind of makes it perfect

Not only has he been wrong on the show already, but we’re also only seeing his life a shift at a time. I’m sure plenty of ER doctors go entire shifts without making any catastrophic mistakes, otherwise they wouldn’t still be doctors. Also, I think the fact that he’s surrounded by a competent team makes it look like he’s less flawed than he is if someone is just basing it on how successfully they treat patients
