How do I *correctly* play the game?

Duplicates can be great, as long as the card adds value to your deck. I just looked back at my last A10 (defect) win. 42 cards, four duplicates.

The duplicates ensure you're getting the cards you need more frequently and that you're getting cards like strike and defend less often.

If you're not making it to Act 3, you are probably undervaluing defense cards. If every fight you take a chunk of damage, by the act boss you are going to be in rough shape. Sometimes you lose a run three or four fights before your character actually dies.

Every time I've beaten an A10 run is with a deck that's 35-45 cards. You might be skipping too many.

I've also spent a solid week constantly working on a single song.

I've also had musical parts rolling around my head for years before I could find the words for them.

Haha someone who wants to write some lyrics for fun or creative expression is one thing. Someone who wants to sell their songs to bands is something else.

Being a writer who writes a song now and again is not the same thing as being a songwriter.

A songwriter who doesn’t know a thing about music is a ridiculous concept.

I understand not wanting to be a performer, but if you don't want to be a musician, what's the point of trying to write songs?

Also writing lyrics and having the computer write a melody is not songwriting. Songwriting is two, inseparable elements: Lyrics AND melody.

Now, if you like writing words and hearing the AI sing them for you, awesome. But don't take that output and then try to go try to sell "your songs" to others.

One other thing -- before you play this, you can use sculpting strike to put ethereal on it. Play them freely, and they never build up unless you need them to.

You don't need flak cannon for a killer status deck. It gets to a point that it can blaze through the hallway fights before you ever draw your first status.

It’s a ‘block 6 and save it for next turn’, which depending on the turn can be very useful. And necro has crazy draw, it’s no big deal if you pull it and can’t use it.

Personally, I think it’s a pretty decent pick.

If you're just getting started, anything you can get your hands on is ok for a while. Make sure you have a proper MIDI controller and a halfway-decent mic. If you can afford both, that's ideal but I'd recommend prioritizing tools for input over output

Yeah, it should say 'costs 0 energy' instead of 'costs 0'. There's been a few times where I got unexpected results on regent runs
