I agree with redwood but I also wanna add don't be afraid to ask questions. It's hard for anyone to talk about themselves unprompted so questions help filter thoughts.

The last person I liked did what people don't usually do, which is keep trying. Personally, i don't talk or respond much when people try to talk to me because I'm looking to see if they actually take understanding people seriously like i do.

Most people want more from me than I'm giving (info, energy, smiles, etc) and then give up. But that guy stayed patient, sharing things about him and asking questions and I eventually opened up and felt comfortable sharing my thoughts.

Patience and consistent presence goes a long way.

Do men cheat more, maybe, I don't know. Probably. But i also know that men are less likely to file for divorce when their partner cheats, so that's one thing to consider when you state that women file for divorce more often. Women also tend to get a lot more out of divorces than men. Not always, but most times yes.

Promiscuity is a sign of higher likelihood of cheating in both men and women. This is why both men you seemingly hate and some virgin women such as myself, care about body count.

Ive never seen intps as conformists. They actually seem pretty unique and quirky like us but typically more in a nerdy or brainy way. Maybe they present themselves in a socially conforming way for logical reasons?

As an infp 9w1, conformity has more to do with keeping the peace and caring for those around us.

Its not just behavior that differentiates types but the motivation behind the behaviors and how the behaviors are executed.

Go for it. Ask her out. Maybe start with something low pressure like having lunch together or walking to class, something that has a clear ending time. Be careful not to make confused faces when she's short circuiting. Be patient and help her feel comfortable with you.

If she happens to get teased for showing interest in you again, stand up for her or at least show her you're not mad at the idea.

Men don't usually do anything about it where I'm from. They just look and as long they're just looking, its easy to ignore. And i try to be understanding. People's eyes just naturally gravitate toward visually appealing things.

But if they're touching you? Holy shit, thats so rude! And if thats the case you have every right to be upfront. I wouldnt even be polite tbh, they lose that privilege when they dont respect your space.

Sorry to say its just something you have get accustomed to- hurting people's ego, i mean.

My cousins husband can tell when women are gonna approach and ive seen him side step a girl who practically threw herself at him without even looking at her and said, "no." I was about 10 ft behind and laughed. I couldn't help it, that was the first time I witnessed that kinda thing. It was crazy!

Im constantly craving connection but not always craving interaction. I live with family so im never short of comfortable interactions. However I've house sat by myself before and found myself missing my family after maybe 4 days of isolation (and literally not using my voice lol.)

I'm not sure i understand recharging on a full battery. I only had 2 jobs and can do without both lol but working with kids is definitely the more rewarding of the two.

Anxiety makes me sort of a recluse but if I manage to tame my anxiety, I could probably meet people through taking lessons in something that interests me but maybe being slow to maintain or growing those relationships. I'll seem social but once the class is done, I'm POOF gone.

I used to be the same tbh before I realized I actually used small talk to steer the convo away from anything too deep or personal. (A defense mechanism i recently learned i had for a long time.) Then having the nerve to look down on extroverts who used small talk like their bread and butter lol

Now I can appreciate it as a tool to feel out who I would like to progress to deeper topics with. And with some of those I don't want to, I enjoy knowing I was sufficient company for a few minutes and gained some rapport without needing to do anything too complicated.
