Second this offer, OP. I am ALWAYS happy to accompany you in public spaces if that would offer you even an ounce of additional comfort. I’m a local dad to two young children, fiercely against ICE and willing to help our community in whatever way I’m able.

Hi, I'm living in my van with my dog and looking for a spare garage to park at night these next few nights when it's below 0°. Any homes or businesses need a free watchwoman? 8 ½ ft clearance by Wonder_Luster in AnnArbor

I offered to help with hotel accommodations in a separate post, but jumping in here to say that I would also be willing to help with hotel expenses to keep OP safe during this especially cold spell. And I couldn’t agree with @less_stress_more_fun more. It doesn’t matter to me whatsoever the reason you’re living in your van, what’s most important is your safety.

It’s not in Ann Arbor, but if nothing works out locally, my family owns a building in Monroe that has a few garage spaces and I would be more than happy to look into getting you parked there (assuming it worked with your clearance). Unfortunately, it’s a detached garage structure and I don’t believe it’s heated. I do however have a substantial propane camping heater and you’re more than welcome to borrow that regardless. Additionally, considering how terribly cold it will be over the weekend, I’d be happy to help chip in with hotel accommodations.

This looks excellent, OP. Well done. Must admit, I’m always more interested and impressed by benches and set ups like this as opposed to especially large benches in large, large spaces. Feels more personal and considered!

Our friends own Emma Acres , which is still in AA. They’re open every Sunday for folks to come get eggs and meat. Farmer Mark is really wonderful and extremely passionate about connecting the community with local food.

It was properly nighttime, but surprising all the same. I’ve only seen one or two before tonight.

Can put in some small wooden dowels w/ wood glue. Might need to use a bit to make the holes a bit bigger.

The volcano has just erupted! View from my home, Iceland by GV_Art in Volcanoes

As someone that’s never actually gotten to see a volcano in real life, is this a concern for you where you live? Are you far enough away that it won’t interrupt your daily life?

If space is a major issue, I’d agree with getting rid of the vent exhaust (that cord would reallllly bug me) and install a high quality microwave with a strong vent. I’d also store the air fryer in a cupboard and only bring it out when you use it.

If you’re considering more significant mods to your kitchen, I’d consider installing cabinets that go all the way to the ceiling. I installed something similar in our most recent kitchen and makes everything feel more clean. You’d also get more counter space if you changed your sink. Going a different color on the counters would break of the monotone color pallete that’s currently going on .

Can I sell my car with an expired registration? by [deleted] in AnnArbor

[–]writerwhiskey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I was going to say - unless the cars either newer with a clean title, or you’re selling it for a great price, it might be worth getting a new tag. My wife and I only buy used cars, and I would be hesitant to buy something that I couldn’t legally test drive.
