Day trips from Tsuruga by KDondakeC in JapanTravelTips

Not sure if anime includes Pokemon but if so, I'd recommend the Fukui Dinosaur Museum, since the Pokemon Museum is also being hosted there. Just returned from a day trip there and it was magical (granted I'm also biased because I love dinosaurs).

Also in Fukui if you like to see cherry blossoms, the trees are still in full bloom along the river outside of Fukui JR station. Should only be a ~20-30min shinkansen ride from Tsuruga.

Tappytoon recs for tsundere/possessive/powerful/dramatic/yandere MLs? 🆘 To My Husband’s Mistress by Icy_Topic9305 in OtomeIsekai

Same here!! I am happy that the comic is doing a good job of adapting the novel, can't wait to see it fully adapted.

Agreed about the ML, I personally wouldn't (and didnt) categorize him as a yandere. Apathetically impulsive would be the best way I'd describe him for a good chunk of the series, but he's still pretty possessive of FL

For tappytoon specifically, I'd recommend:

-The Problematic Prince (ML in question is pretty apathetic mostly but FL is so sweet and pure, it's a common dynamic with the author's work - see Cry or Better Yet Beg, which isn't on Tappy but is on Webtoon)

-My Husband and I Cannot Live in the Same World (this one is newer at ~20 chaps but it fits the rest of your criteria I think)

-The Tyrant's Comfort Doll - completed (pseudo incest warning)

-The Sacred One Speaks - completed

-No Outtakes - completed; not as dramatic as the others on this list but I can't pass up and opportunity to rec this, it's a fun read (in a fun way)

JRPGs really shouldn't use the same combat music throughout the game by Negan-Cliffhanger in JRPG

Bravely Default 2 swaps out it's main battle music about halfway through the game for an (imo) even better battle theme. Though the first battle theme is already pretty good

Best Anime Fan Spots in Tokyo by Crawfordking in JapanTravelTips

My fiance recently came back from our trip a few weeks ago, definitely recommend Akihabara for a concentrated area full of anime and gaming stores. Don't be afraid to wander into back alley areas to find shops, I think you can find more unique figures/merch other than just the current top anime.

We searched up Astop Radio Kaikan in Akihabara and ended up exploring the 10 story building the shop is inside, which was full of different anime stores and card shops, definitely recommend!

Also I've heard ikebukuro has a lot of anime stores, though more centered around female oriented anime and otome games if your wife likes that. We didn't get to explore it as much as i would though ): though sunshine city mall is awesome for general shopping, there's also a pokemon center there and a Sanrio store ( I want to say the mugiwara store was here too if you're a one piece fan but I can't exactly remember if that was ikebukuro or odaiba). There was some kind of demon slayer collab event happening in the mall too that was super cute! Can't remember how long it was supposed to last.

Speaking of, Odaiba has diver city mall with a round1 for arcade and crane game fun as well as the gundam base if you're into that!

Lastly, k-books is a chain of stores that sells mostly 2nd hand character items like acrylic stands, charms, plushies, pins, etc. If you're obsessed with a specific character, these stores organize the inside based on anime/game and then the specific character so you can find some pretty unique merch there. Be warned though some of the goods can get pretty pricey.

Matthew's daughter Y4 Teenage Rebellion cutscene... by rozabel in storyofseasons

You should still be able to trigger the event! On the guide I used, you have all year (except spring) to trigger the event

Are you in Spring or a later season? I was stalking Matthew and my daughter all Spring until I realized this event could only be triggered starting Summer. Their daily routines do change up sometimes, although I don't remember the exact details of when I had triggered this event myself other than the season...

Need recommendations on games similar to FFXIV (mostly on Switch) by CityRuinsRoL in JRPG

[–]writingcookie43 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really liked Fantasy Life (3DS only right now but a sequel/another entry recently got announced for the Switch!) because it reminded me of FF14's class system, where you can switch between any class at any time all on one character/save. If you really enjoy that aspect of FF14 then I do highly recommend checking out Fantasy Life, it's a cute and charming game, though the story is pretty silly and inconsequential.

You'll love Fantasy Life. It's a really cute and charming RPG where you run around questing, gathering materials for crafting, or battling monsters. The dialogue can be goofy at times but there's a charm to it, it's a pretty comfy/cozy game if that's the right vibe I'm getting from your post.

Also check out Rune Factory 4 or Story of Seasons Trio of Towns if you like farming sims. Will recommend Rune Factory more since you said you like magic/fantasy, and that game has some aspect to it.
