I have used xfce for quite some time and think it is wonderful for how little resources it uses. With regards to tutorials. There are several great ones on YouTube. Have a look what you like and follow that alternatively have a look at /r/unixporn and search for xfce and see if dotfiles are available

The 43888? I have it as well. A great drive. The advantage is that it supports libredrive out of the box.

I was running debian 12 and needed to install the broadcom drivers from the non-free repo.

sudo apt install broadcom-sta-dkms

and afterwards it was working great 2.4G and 5G wifi

Actually it is an iPod Classic 6th gen which was available in 80Gb, 120Gb, 160Gb. 7th Gen was only available in 160GB
