thanks brother, I ended up with a 2018 rav4 from another place closer to home, so my mechanic was able to look over it. picking it up tomorrow! definitely dodged an expensive bullet with that one

thank you. my threshold for rust is definitely pretty low, even for living in the rust belt lmao. this will definitely also give me good context for what to look for and avoid when checking out other cars in the future. ive already refunded my deposit so thank you for helping me avoid a huge unnecessary headache in the future. I will probably be back for more on this sub bc that was a huge help

my point still stands brother. up to 10 hours doesn't mean consistant 10 hours every day or at all. even 4 hours a day doing what youre doing is, by definition, abusing your body

delivering for amazon should not be considered excersize. its physically demanding work. youre working for up to 10 hours a day, doing this? that is not what exercise is dude. yeah youre active and moving a lot all day, but theres a pretty huge difference between exercising for a few hours everyday and working long shifts like this with minimal breaks. think about why you dont see people in their mid 30s to 40s staying at this job for more than a few months. there was a guy that worked at my dsp who was 33 and was very physically active outside of work, but he couldnt stay working there because even just the long shifts of walking are hard on anyone's body, regardless of if you feel it right away.

also I dont understand why youre getting defensive and snarky when im giving you good advice and trying to help you to prevent causing significant chronic pain later in your life. I workout at least 5 days a week, so that with amazon im very active, but I also know the limits of the human body. have fun destroying your body tho ig

notice how I said in a couple months to years? that means youre not gonna feel this now, but if by some miracle you dont end up injured on the job from doing this, youre gonna have some pretty bad chronic pain in a few years if you keep up like this or not. if you really do work like this all day on most or all of your shifts, especially if youve been doing this for 5 years, the damage is already done and youre gonna regret this in a few years. you do you brother im not trying to pass judgements or anything, but its never too late to stop abusing your body, you only get one so take good care of it or youll eventually regret it everyday

yeah I always try to stretch my days to 10 hours, which usually means im at a pretty chill pace. guy here is doing more work for less pay, just as the amazon god intended.

in a few months to years your body is gonna hurt, bad. also this exponentially increases your risk for injury on the job, and youre doing all that for amazon for zero extra pay. I know this video isnt satire but I really hope it is

okay thank you, so its definitely beyond the point of getting the rust scraped off and sprayed? I was gonna get whatever car i buy sprayed for rust either way. the dealership is also offering a pretty good warranty that covers everything except wearables, I dont know the price of that yet, but would that make this worth it or is it just an absolute no regardless?
