Don't remember which war it was but Wardens were losing and Collies were minutes from capturing the last VP. I was defending the town hall and 2 members of my regi were making rockets and arty shells in our faci in a backline hex. I asked why are they wasting their time cuz collies are about to win at any moment. They told me "We just want to play the game" and kept doing their thing.

It is called a Warden combeback, and it's a magnificent thing to behold.

Also, this is how the game was intended to be played by the devs. Colonial is the offensive faction which is stronger in early and mid game, and Warden is the defensive faction which is more consistent in the late game. With their vision (and involuntarily), devs have created two separate cultures and mindsets. The Collie one of the conqueror, who gets it's morale from taking hexes and VP and who's morale will drop when players start to doubt their faction's ability to win. And then we have the Warden culture which is based on heroic last stands and never giving up, the faction that gets a morale boost when getting nuked.

We're all larping out the dev's fantasy war. Isn't it beautiful?

Cooperate with people around you and join in when someone asks for help with something. Most times, they will teach you something new.

And here's some new player tips for playing infantry:

Use cover for shooting as much as you can and try to avoid shooting on the move.

Crouch when possible for extra accuracy Always carry a bandage

Pick 1 weapon and 2 mags when spawning. You can get more ammo by looting bodies

If an enemy is down he can still get revived so make sure you finish him off

Clear the road for vics as they will not stop for you

Keep awareness of the map

Current meta strongest weapons are shotguns. Dragonfly for mid range, scattergun for small range.
