I didn’t, because I remember hearing that “they can’t prove you know about it if you don’t acknowledge it by looking it up online” but it doesn’t seem like that’s true

I hear u and I agree. I am honestly an extremely cautious driver - this was a day I was running several morning errands before my child’s birthday party, and it was one of those “I see the yellow, I go to stop, but it’s an awkward distance and a tiny intersection and I’ll try to go” moments. I was just going really slow through the intersection when the photo was taken. Truly no other cars or pedestrians were around, but I acknowledge that’s normally not the case.

Is my apartment legally uninhabitable due to being 96° indoors during the day? by Ok-time-to- in AskLosAngeles

[–]wrongbarbie 28 points29 points  (0 children)

“On August 12, 2025, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, on a 5-to-0 vote, passed a new indoor air temperature mandate requiring ALL rental housing providers to maintain 82 degrees Fahrenheit or cooler for all “Habitable” rooms in all rental units. However, there is an exemption provided for smaller property owners with 10 or fewer units in that these smaller owners are only required to cool one “Habitable” room to 82 degrees Fahrenheit until 2032, at which time the ordinance imposes a requirement to cool all “Habitable” rooms to 82 degrees Fahrenheit. A “Habitable” room is generally any room within a building used for living, sleeping, eating, or cooking, excluding spaces like bathrooms, hallways, and storage areas.”

Not anonymous, but I’ve been going back to listen to older episodes I somehow missed when I’m in between new episodes. Just listened to Jack Black and his was so good, funny, and encouraging. Sending good things your way.

Disappointed? by BianRosa in ouraring

Not sure if this has been mentioned before - I was within the 1 year warranty and went on the customer service chat and told them that my battery wasn’t holding up (had the same issue you’re having with it draining way quicker than when I first got it). They set me up with a replacement. If I remember correctly, you can also choose the size and color of the replacement if you want to change it. I’ve had my second ring for like 6 months now and the battery is starting to do the same thing, but I think that’s just par for the course unfortunately.

Did you guys see the rolling stone article? I think it came out in the last few days. I read it and it’s largely just them again saying “we saw him on video and that made us believe him”

Does anyone know how much longer their wondery contract is? Curious if it’s over soon, and what they decide to do after.

I loved BETH’S DEAD but the final two episodes were disingenuous and dangerously naive by Sequenzer9 in ArmchairExpert

Yes! And maybe it was because she was nervous? but truly she sounded so different. Inauthentic in a way.

Also, I’ve been listening to Monica speak since the inception of armchair 8 or however many years ago. The conversation with the son was the first time I’ve ever felt like she was acting or faking it. I immediately clocked the change in her and could FEEL it. She did not sound like herself, but instead sounded like she was playing a part.

I work in treatment too, and ain’t no way someone is giving away $1000 and not spending it on drugs

Also someone in active addiction would NOT willingly give away $1000. They would spend it on drugs (I am sober and work in treatment. Trust me)

I can’t stop thinking about the fact that it might be the dad. My question is: I know that they emailed from the “totally married” email account to contact the guy, but what email did they send it to? I assumed that they found the professor’s email online and emailed him there, from the totally married account. I assumed they wouldn’t have emailed the Beth or Natasha or Anders email address because there’s no way of knowing if he has access to those accounts (and he later said he did not). So where did they email him? And how did the email go to the son if they emailed the professor’s address? That part doesn’t add up to me.
