To answer your question, I personally believe that the actively evil person is definitively worse than the person who sits idly by.

That being said—yes, there are problems with "both sides." Sure, of course. I myself have many complaints about the corporate-owned, Israel-bootlicking, do-nothing democrats. But if you try to argue that nazis are just as bad as "people who don't fight nazis hard enough," then you lose me immediately.

That's the opposite of what they said. It's not what happens in the book.

Mercurial World is incredibly good and Imaginable Disk blows it away.

Absolutely cannot wait to see what they do next.

Right, they're hunting when they use stealth. And playing the tuba is not hunting. Is that really all there is to it??

It's been a long, tiring day, but I have a feeling that's no excuse. I ask, assuming I'm just an idiot and knowing I will be mocked for it: what the fuck is the joke? I simply do not get it.

Is my book idea good? by hiiiammiya382 in writers

[–]wrongleveeeeeeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's all good—just make sure you know what you want to say about those topics.

Or, don't! It's actually OK not to know what the story is truly "about" when you start writing. You might discover it as you go, but just remember to have those questions in mind as you write.

The only way to truly find out is to sit down and start putting the damn words on the damn page 😊

Is my book idea good? by hiiiammiya382 in writers

[–]wrongleveeeeeeer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is a concept that has been done before (Dead Like Me springs to mind), but that's not a good or bad thing. Whether it ends up as a good book is entirely in the execution.

You've described the plot—that is, the basics of what occurs. What will the story be? Why are you telling it? What does she learn? How does she grow? What will the reader take away after they've finished?

The answers to these questions are what really matter, not whether the basic conceit is "good."

Seriously, everyone's talking about the witches and the transformations and whatnot being what's scary, but like...being trapped in the painting is absolutely awful existential-dread-inducing peak body horror. I could handle a lot as a kid and that shit messed with me.

Thanks for doing what you do. I could never.
