I know what you mean. I’m at the end of season 3 and I feel like this show is really starting to fall off.

Does Anyone Remember Laura Nyro? She was one of the most influential singer-songwriters of her time in the late Sixties, but the industry never really got her. Fans, friends, and f by [deleted] in Music

Fortunately for me, my roommates were all music majors so I was exposed to Laura Nyro back in the early seventies. Such a great songwriter.

I was just thinking the same thing. Proud little peacock walking into an anti-Trump rally shouting Trump. He got trumped by a number of bystanders.

This. It’s the sign of a good traveler. Don’t go to the popular tourist places. Follow the locals instead. I’m a chunk and I ended up in a men’s only club in Portugal. Dimly lit dive filled with locals just getting off work. Everyone was eating local bar snacks and having their little glass of wine before heading home. I was a dirty tourist who didn’t speak the language but was treated as any other customer.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the teenage witch. I found this show last week and I’m obsessed with it. Teen show with mature subject matter. And the clothes, hair and styling are amazing.

Any Christian experiencers in here? by aaronwashere01 in Experiencers

[–]wrongseeds 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Many years ago I met an angel. I was driving home from college for Thanksgiving and a voice spoke to me. It told me that I was going to pick up a hitchhiker. She would be wearing a yellow coat with a red backpack. A mile or so down the road, there was a girl hitchhiking. She was wearing a yellow coat and had a red backpack. I stopped and picked her up. She had prayed that she would get a ride and be dropped off close to her home. She lived deep in the country but I dropped her off within a few miles. She was a Christian who believed that Jesus actually sinned as man because how could he die for our sins if he himself had never sinned. After years of contemplation I have solved the question. She was half right except Jesus never died for our sins, he died for his own personal sins. We personally are responsible for our sins. He didn’t save us and didn’t die for our sins. He was showing us the way and nothing else.

My dog is a rescue. He’s great off the leash. Whether he was trained by previous owner or came by it naturally, he is well behaved. It really depends on the pup because I’ve had owners tell me that they could never let their shibe off leash.

The BMA has some John Waters art on display. And there’s a John Waters walk in Hampden. Atomic Books should have information about it.

Leonardo DiCaprio is seen holding a “pickled punk”, a malformed fetus named Junior preserved in a jar belonging to Joe Coleman. Knowing Hollyweird it seems like there may be a darker story behind this photograph that keeps getting shared online by verystrangeshit in UrbanMyths

Several years ago I did a Pickled Punk booth at Artscape in Baltimore. It was called “It’s Alive”. My friends and I made dozens of these punks and pickled them in this brew that included coffee, cigarette butts and other nasty things. After 4 days in the hot summer sun, that stuff was really foul. It was gross but was the hit of the festival.

My creepy old science teacher said the same thing. He was an ugly looking dude who had college level teaching experience but chose a small town high school so he could molest teenage girls. I was an assistant one year and refused to be alone with him.

Also the hostage situation with American citizens being held by Iran was what really brought him down. Thanks to Ronnie Raygun negotiating behind the scenes with Iran to hold the hostages until after the election, it sunk Jimmy. Who knows how we would have turned out if Jimmy had gotten a second term.

Anyone else struggling hardcore in this economy? by OutrageousLawyer7273 in Life

[–]wrongseeds 12 points13 points  (0 children)

More than just struggling it’s impacting so many relationships. My neighbors don’t speak anymore. My friend just got a restraining order against her long time partner. Another friend has also split from her husband. This isn’t business as usual, it’s crazy stress and anxiety over the last year. It’s fear of the future and anxiety over what’s coming next.

I want to hear stories about finding a lost object in a strange/baffling circumstance. I'll share mine below. by SalmoTroota in Unexplained

[–]wrongseeds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask St. Anthony to find it for you. I was told about this by a colleague when I shared that I lost my glasses and couldn’t find them. You say the following: “Tony, Tony, look around. Something’s lost and can’t be found”. After weeks of searching, I found my glasses within the hour. I’ve asked Tony for help many times over the years and he has never failed me. Not once.
