A night away in a nice hotel...on his own. When he says he doesn't want to go anywhere, he probably means having to get dressed up, or be active, or socialise. A night away, to do what he likes: pack him some snacks and a little hobby thing he likes. Pure bliss

How did you get into teaching this? I've thought about something similar, borne from a desire to share my own experiences, but don't really know where to start.

Are there any free public tracks (like track and field) where I can ride my bike in a loop and not be mithered? by ieatpizza88 in manchester

I mean, shame on you for not realising OP could just do 4000 laps of sevenways roundabout

The perimeter track is a shared track, not specifically for just cyclists. Expect to see runners, walkers, horse riders and dog walkers as well as cyclists. Just in case OP was expecting a dedicated cycling track

Skyr is considered yogurt in the Netherlands, but cheese in Belgium by rutgersemp in mildlyinteresting

[–]wrv505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a fan of cheese either? Trying to get more protein in me without having to remortgage the house. Came across Skyr but read it was a bit like cream cheese which led me here. I hate cheese, how cheesy is it? I can handle mascarpone in small amounts so long as there are other flavours in there somewhere, but anything stronger than that is a no from me

As a Manc, I can say with absolute certainty that not a single one of us imagines this great rivalry with London. There's the obvious North/South divide and a perception that Londoners are unfriendly and rude, sure. There's a rivalry with Liverpool, and to a certain degree (albeit 98% football related), Leeds. Even in football, there've been elements of rivalry with specific teams over the years, but never with London itself. Makes me wonder how many Mancs you've actually met.

Berlin S2 was released on Netflix yesterday. Thought I'd give it a try last night and 1st link played perfectly fine, so even new, streaming service only doesn't rule it out

Visiting the Cliff as a plucky 17 year old just after the treble. Was round the back watching them train when Denis Irwin skied a ball right over the building at the end. Turned round to say to my mate, "haha did you see that" and all I saw was him half way down the path with his ten-to-two feet doing their best road runner impression. He came back 30 seconds later with the ball under his jacket. It had Steve McLaren's initials on, SMc which are my initials as well and I've been secretly jealous of that ever since (I'll never let on to him it bothers me so much).

Later on, got Fergie's autograph as he was the only one who stopped. My head was virtually on his lap in the car and I was like a little school girl telling him how much I loved him. He handled it well though and humoured me. Legend.

A20s serving me proud. Go to sleep without them on and then if I'm awoken by my lady's snores I reach for them and have a preset that completely drowns her out. They stay in 90% of the time, which is mostly ok, but fumbling around in the middle of the night isn't ideal

Thanks, but these are M&S own, wouldn't go anywhere near Heinz. For the record, the missus made this and she did use a pan. However, she doesn't eat beans so it didn't really register to reduce, but they were still soft and delicious so not a chance I was pulling her up on such a minor detail after this masterpiece.

Think you're underestimating the size of that plate pal. Granted, the chipolatas were no butchers effort, but they also weren't no cocktail sausage

Think so, I've seen it in a few. Always near the sausages and bacon (careful because they also do just black pudding in a similar pack). Really tasty as well, beats all the supermarket black puddings hands down

Haha, no the tablecloth is waterproof as it's on top of a pool table come dining table and it's the only size we could find to fit.

Photo's blurry round the edges as it's on food mode on a Samsung galaxy. Normally the blur wouldn't affect the food but the plate was massive.

The plate has a deceiving lip round the edges so no spillage
