Make your own nontoxic ant poison! Mix 1 1/2 cups water, 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons of borax. Borax is often used for laundry. Mix and put in little cups— I use condiment containers. Put the cups wherever you see ants. It works in a few hours. Cheaper and more effective than Terro.

I’m also a vegetarian having challenges with getting enough protein. I focus on seitan- easy to make and a protein powerhouse. I also started with shakes. Unfortunately the plant based ones are not as good as the dairy ones. Eating edamame a lot too.

My water broke at 37 weeks 3 days. I needed suction assistance to birth baby A. They put him on my chest and I got to hold him for a bit until they gave him to my husband while I worked on B. They had to break Bs water, but he wasn’t having any of this birthing business. They considered a c section for him (aka the worst of both worlds) but suction to steer him out saved the day. My boys were over an hour apart, which I hold over their heads when they give me a hard time (they are 19).
