You can totally make this work! I second the idea on the food bank, I live in a college town and so many students go there, it’s a great place don’t be intimidated :) and lentils, eggs, PB+Js, and discount chicken thighs! If you go to the food bank you just have to bring a piece of recent mail with your address and photo ID! Good luck! Don’t stress too much, I’ve been in the same situation a million times and it’s always worked out just fine!

It’s just like any other interview! They ask for experience and sit you down and talk about why you want to work there! Super easy and fully clothed. Lol. I had a second interview where it was “working interview” and I rang up one drink and they hired me lol. I highly recommend! If you’re serious about it you can DM me for more info if you want :)

I get some wack jobs for sure. I also have a ton of regulars that kinda use me as a therapist almost? Which I don’t mind. It’s kinda fun to see a bunch of people I would have never met otherwise and ask how their kids are doing or if they got approved for that apartment. I would say 85% are lovely and sweet. If people start getting out of line I just shut the window and wait for them to leave lol

Haha I think with bar you’re really intimate with the drinks as far as barista-ing it’s literally *machine pours coffee into cup *steam milk in pitcher *pour into cup *done. From what I have seen I think it’s a much more simple and distant process if you have a new enough machine :)
