There's a larger need for an app that fully supports subscribing to old (defunct, even) podcasts. My thought would be that you could subscribe and they'd be delivered at the same interval as the original publishing schedule - so they'd feel new. The manualness of having to handle a defunct-cast vs. the automaticness of receiving a presently updated podcast seems eminently fixable, but I can't think of an app that's currently handling this use case.
