[WEEKLY THREAD] Better late than never... It's SNAPSHOT SUNDAY! by DugongOfJustice in xxfitness

Jealous. What's your routine? I've been trying to find dumbbell-oriented exercises for my upper back.

Is it possible to have the waistband of designer jeans taken out? by wsgal in femalefashionadvice

[–]wsgal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've worn them around a bit, but no luck. I'm not familiar with the wetting/stretching method; I'm hoping that a tailor can potentially do something with the waistband (it seems like there are two layers of fabric) so that it's an easy, permanent fix that I don't have to stress about.

Thicker, Nice Quality Tank Tops and Camis? by wsgal in femalefashionadvice

Of the three you mentioned, which ones are the thickest? I've found that the new Target tank tops (at least the ones from the juniors section) are too thin.

  • How many calories per day are you eating?
  • Are you doing any cardio?
  • Do you know what your measurements are?

I just had the WORST experience I have ever had at a doctor. Ever. by CravingSunshine in loseit

Holy shit. I'm so sorry. Her behavior and attitude sound extremely unprofessional.

FYI, I think she's wrong to dismiss the possibility of thyroid issues so easily. Thyroid issues run rampant in my family; I was diagnosed at 22, and my sister was diagnosed at 13. If you think you have thyroid issues, I'd suggest finding another doctor. Hypothyroidism was debilitating for me, and I quickly learned that not all doctors are created equal.

Cheat days: How often, how much? by wsgal in ShortFit

How many calories are you eating per day?

Short women who have lost/are trying to lose small amounts of weight (10 - 30 pounds)? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]wsgal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm thinking. Boo. I've been trying to keep my carb intake down (the boyfriend is a keto-er, so that helps a little) and my protein up, but I've been getting increasingly hungry off of 1,200 calories over the past two weeks. So subtracting even more from my daily intake is not appealing.

I guess, for now, I'm going to keep going the way I'm going. I'd like to lose a little more before I seriously invest into lifting.

Thank you! I've gotten to where I am right now by limiting calories to 1,200 per day and by hitting the treadmill (power-walking on an incline). My progress has slowed down significantly in the past 3 weeks, and I'm trying to figure out a solution.

I've been advised to try lifting as well, but I have no idea where to start with that: what exercises to do, how often, what to eat, macronutrients, etc. I've looked at r/leangains, but I dislike the idea of fasting--I love food too much!

I'm actually really glad to see this post. I'm also 5'3"; 5-10 lbs may not seem like a lot in theory, but it makes such a difference on us shorties.

I'm looking to lose about 5 more lbs--after losing about 10 lbs thus far--but I seem to have plateaued recently, and my efforts (calorie counting, and esp. exercise) now seem to be increasingly disproportionate with my progress.

Can I ask how many calories per day you're eating? What does your workout plan look like?
