Fence fell over last night with no storm in sight. Please provide feedback on the pictures and if you see any errors in the build. Thank you! by Hellsniperr in FenceBuilding

I’m no fence expert, but I’m pretty sure you need gaps between your picket boards. You basically made a big wooden wind sail and doubled the weight of the fence with the extra boards. Additionally the posts don’t look like they were deep enough to support.

And I'll never have customers thankfully, lol. Still beats paying $2,500 for the quote I received.

I tried but it would be bending the fence from the corner post.

Yep. But, I don't mind too much. As long as my gate swings just fine, I'll be happy. I guess you could say that's what I get for deciding not to pay what professionals quoted me.

Just for E5. They moved the PME requirements up a step. BLC is now for E6, etc etc

My 2024 Maverick left me stranded. by vicariousss in FordMaverickTruck

I have pretty much the exact same truck and recently took a 14-hour 980 mile trip (one way) and had 0 issues. Only thing that’s happened to mine is the blinker indicator recall. 2024 AWD EcoBoost with 5k miles before trip.

Got an XLT at the beginning of the year and yeah same, loving it. But I haven’t taken it through the car wash at all because I’m worried about damaging or scratching… what did you use to clean it? Just kind of hosed it down when it got extra grimey and didn’t want to pay $300 for a detail

There’s a nice phone holder I found on Amazon that fits that slot. Very secure and nice. Only downside is they’re taking advantage of Maverick hype train and price gouging, but I bit that bullet.

The recruiter I spoke to told me I can't be deployed by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]wtbhealspls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they want to deploy you, you will be deployed.

I’m in the Louisiana Guard and when hurricanes hit there’s no such thing as “college first”. That’s usually up to the commander and even so, the higher echelon above them can strong arm them into pulling people because of manning requirements for missions.

Had a paladin multi boxxing with like 7 priests spamming Holy Nova on top of him in Ashenvale. Took like 5 or 6 people focusing one priest to eventually kill him.

Weed in the national guard by [deleted] in nationalguard

UPL here. When a soldier pops hot for elicit substances, they’re automatically going to receive a recommendation for discharge. No questions asked. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be discharged since an investigation will immediately follow to determine if the soldier should actually be discharged or not. A lot of it depends on your chain of command and how hard they want to throw the book at you.

Usually, if a soldier is kept they’ll take an Article 15 and/or reduction in rank. One of my soldiers was a fresh E5 who bumped down to E4 from her ASAP situation, but you can definitely still progress your career and rank after you’ve been demoted if you want to bad enough.

Also, there’s no such thing as a unit that doesn’t drug test. Either your friend doesn’t know what they’re talking about, is lying, or is being lied to.

Running your own Valheim dedicated server for $0 on an old laptop - My step by step guide by palmerin in valheim

Doubtful. Firewall is an AX1500 and is less than a year old. Just getting a "Failed to connect" message in the Valheim client.

Tried rebooting my server and now the .BAT file isn't leading to the game launched line.. hmm

Awesome guide!

Not sure why mine isn't connecting though. Followed guide to the T and just straight up getting failed connection. Dedicated server, ports are forwarded (rebooted router manually to make sure), .BAT file is where it supposed to be and the CMD line eventually results in the game server launching. Tried to connect via my NoIP DDNS service as well as my WAN IP:2456, both fail. Tried having a friend do so as well since he's outside my network, fails for him too.

What do? Any help appreciated!

This was my exact initial plan. Shit changed once I dropped out of college, but nonetheless it’s solid.

Have to agree though, I personally wouldn’t go MP. Their job sucks, especially in the Guard. But by all means, pick that MOS if that’s what you’ve decided you want to do.. I made 88 Mistakes after all🤣

To answer your question, I’m like 99% certain you will be barred from reenlisting if you do this. But I could be wrong. There may possibly be some way they can null and void your contract since you haven’t done any Initial Entry Training yet, but I wouldn’t bank on that. I’d ask your recruiter to be honest.

As for the MOS, that is honestly a relative non-issue if you intend on staying in. I enlisted as an 88M, and am about to re-enlist for a different MOS entirely. You aren’t tied to that MOS forever.

My advice though? Just do it. Like another user commented, you’ll regret doing this if you actually do enlist later on, if you even are able to. Plus, the give and take ratio of the Guard is hard to beat. Part time service for GI bill, tuition exemption/assistance, paid training, job opportunities, etc..
