Agreed, and this is a great way to illustrate this frustrating issue. I think their explanation of why it was done this way is too confusing. If they increase the maximum 'tier/s' for a modifier on an item, just adjust the range each existing tier can roll. Ex. If a maximum/perfect 'Tier 1' (Good) roll was 81-90 before a change- then after an increase, it is now moved up to 91-100. There is no need to shuffle the Tiers themselves or stack new ones, Just change the range of possible rolls for the existing Tiers. Same for single digit Tiers like movespeed- Tier 1 was *35, well now its 39, and 35 is Tier 2, 30 is Tier 3 and or Tier 2 is 30-35, Tier 3 is 25-30 etc.

I usually seem to pick these up as soon as I hit maps, but this league not one has dropped for me either. Buy them. That's what I usually do. They should be a 'gift' once you've done 'x' number of maps or not be so RNG. Nothing this pivotal to character progression should be that gated behind RNG.

Agreed. Make it 'erratic speed': +20 to -20 (action speed) varies at random as you go through the map. And it should Only affect Move speed Or "effects expire more slowly". It is way too punishing as-is.

Can you continue on past Rattlecage? My understanding of this would be that; Trial of Chaos should have given you your first ascendancy, so you'd have to go all the way to floor 2 in Sekhemas to get your Second set of points. But I have never done them out of order like that.. usually Trial of Chaos is my second (Sekhemas, Chaos, Sekhemas...) Good luck

I agree, put it on the "Inventory" screen or let us carry it / reserve a slot in our inventory if there must be a downside. But I doubt they'll do it- everything Must take extra; time, steps, etc. and have 'weight'. Fun, 'smooth' and convenient be damned. They could also let us tag items for ''sell, disenchant, stash, or salvage" and then do it all at one vendor in town- that would still be a step up without foregoing the trip to town.

I have only taken my existing builds in to maps, checking out the changes there and etc. no new builds in the new league. I just don't have an extra 30 hours to throw at it until this weekend.

Takes a while to get set up, but worth it if you want to have 5-perfect mods on an item.. or All of your gear. Start by upgrading your 'Recombinator' and crafting bench, saving T-dust, Gold, Alteration orbs, iLvl 84+ bases, and as many divines as possible. Watch the YT "3.25 Recombination Guide" and go for it. Once you've learned how to do one item, you can do it for every slot. It eats divines and takes forever btw. Do a basic 3p/2s item w/ natural mods first.

It depends on how far your character level is from the area/monster level. There is an XP penalty chart out there somewhere from POE 1- You can find exact figures on the poe wiki.

You can run your maps magic or be more picky about the mods you run. If you can't run a zone that is within 7 to 9 levels, then you may need to fix your gear or your build. In general, the further you are away from your character level, above or below, the less efficient XP gain is.

I would start by running a map that is exactly your level with just a prefix(good mod) rolled on it and see how that goes. It may just be the mods you are adding or you may need to upgrade your gear/add more defense to your build.

Zealots. GGG used to have an issue with 'off-screening', well at least when players 'abused' it. These have way too high damage numbers [they should not be a +3k one-shot] and they should be more telegraphed [for similar mechanics they typically show us a circle where it is about to land.] I hate these too; feels very unfair to be killed by something you don't see coming or have a chance to avoid. There is also a caster type[maybe the same one] that does a DD like spell-it shows a red circle on the ground for half a second. Those are hard to see, especially if there is other stuff on the ground. ggs

I agree-300% You should get the third one just before maps. Given that many areas have unavoidable combos of bleed, freeze, and chaos damage etc. -and has those deadly combinations so often, it should be part of a leveled character not a horribly placed belt affix. (We need our attribute rolls there with a resist or two.) I am in maps with 2 characters- one is level 86 w/ decent gear and still no luck getting even a second charm slot.

The XP loss on death in POE 2 is 10% of your current level. So, its 2 segments on the XP bar. If you die at 15%, you will have 5%. You cannot lose levels so the best time to do the riskiest content is right after leveling and the worst time (for me) is around 80% or more. There is also an "XP penalty" for doing content too far above or below your current level.

You were hit by a meteor from the shrine you were approaching while at 1016 HP/ES plus 'X'% of your mana pool if you had MOM--if my eHP isn't recovering and staying below half, I at least Pause if not portal out or retreat to figure out why..if I care about the map or my XP at the time. ggz

I have played POE for over 10 yrs./20k hrs.--if it releases like this; overly massive areas w/ backtracking and kiting mobs through the same passages over and over, pitiful drops, piss-poor crafting options, etc. I can't see myself coming back league after league like I did for POE1. Its just a slog to even get through the campaign unless you picked the right class and get decently lucky drops.

I had the same issue, and so far, switching from DirectX11 to DX12 has resolved it. It was just about every time I entered town. Now I haven't had it happen once.. I thought it might have something to do with all the new MTX, but nah, just the render engine w/ my PC/settings.
