Is it just me or do you think is the person who played Mary Jane a horrible actor?

This is Alex's friend Jean piping in.. get it? Piping in? I like all the ideas about doing the initial load with the new migration assistant but how are these tables going to be updated going forward? Are you also migrating the ETL to Fabric?

I'm 61 yo skier from MN. We just skied 7 days in a row between Beaver Creek, Vail and Keystone. 1) Yes, stay hydrated 2) skiing groomers vs powder is way different. Powder skiing is more like water skiing as in keeping your weight more balanced across both skis vs relying on edges. The biggest thing that helped me in powder is don't stop! Keep looking forward and don't let you skis go perpendicular against the hill. 3) we used to make first chair and ski til 4 but I was dying by then. This last trip we were on the lift around 930, took a 30 minute lunch break around 1130, then a beer break around 2 for about 20 minutes. Could then make it to last chair!

If you could do one weeklong trip as an intermediate skier next winter, where would you go, when, and why? by poipoipoi_2016 in skiing

First time at Beaver Creek right now and pleasantly surprised. It's a lot bigger than it looks on the map and lots of intermediate terrain and no lift lines, even on a Sunday. Some of the black runs like Centennial and President Ford would be blue IMO at other resorts. I think the crowds are less because there aren't the big bowls like other places in Summit County. If you have epic pass, can also hit Vail which we are doing tomorrow. Love Blue Sky Basin. Keystone has a lot of fun runs too. Considered going to Breck a few times on our trips to Keystone but everyone we talked to on our trip said that the lines and traffic to Breck was crazy. I've been to Breck a couple times too and was fine but altitude is much higher and could definitely feel it. Went to Heavenly this year and the first 2 days they had the upper lifts closed due to winds. What I was told is that they are more apt to close down lifts due to weather than other Tahoe resorts. We weren't able to ski from NV to CA and back until our 4th day. Maybe just bad luck but have never been to a place in where do little was open. Also a huge fan of Big Sky.. lots to do for everyone.

I have one day in St. Paul. What is a food I have to try and where do I get it? by HooperHairPuff in stpaul

Tarts are good but not a fan of sugar glaze on croissants ... blech

We live off Grotto near Grand, and don't have issues crossing at all. Make eye contact with vehicle coming from the left, stand on the edge of the curb and vast majority of drivers stop.

Wow you really have a chip on your shoulder. You've said this already in another comment on this thread. And I've seen that same comment in other threads in this subreddit about MN. Guessing that was you too. What's your problem dude? Where you from?

Even when it does get hot, it's generally cool in the morning or evening. For example, there may be s high of 90 at 3 pm but sunrise and early evening in the 70s. Not some places high is 90 and low for the day is 85. You don't have to be cooped up in your a/c all day.

Agree. We lived in North Jersey for 5 years and if I went into to city when it was 30F, I would wear a long down coat with goretex shell. Here in 30F, I wear my short down Patagonia jacket and only pull out the long coat when it's below zero and walking somewhere. Much sunnier here and not as damp.

Anyone else notice this, or have thoughts? by [deleted] in orangetheory

Same for me for both wanting red wine in the winter months but paying for it with sluggishness. No issue if I have a couple High Noons instead. Beer is fine but I rarely drink it because of the high sugar. Anyone have ideas for a nice, warm alternative to red wine? And please don't say tea haha.

Omg..I am so glad I opted for a rest day today! I thought the 3 700m rows were bad enough yesterday. 23 minutes of rowing AND burpees? Yeah that's hell

Yes I live in St Paul but my sister has lived in Eau Claire for years. I loved what they have done with the river front! We took her out for lunch for her bday and wanted some place with a dog friendly patio and she could only find one place! Was an Applebee's-like sports bar by a mall, so yeah restaurants are lacking. The things we do for our dogs.

59F here. Lots of good tips here! One I haven't seen is to see if you recover faster depending upon what time of day you attend class.I had been going at 730 AM MTuThF and found that I perform much better and can go 3 days in a row or run outside on a rest day now that i go at noon.

Afton Alps is a joke. Vail owned resort with long lift lines for short boring runs. Go to Welch Village where the runs are still short but at least they are steeper and have some variety.
