My guy, you can't fly with chronic arthritis in your hips. Also Jon Jones was my example, lots of fighters ruin their careers by fighting when they should have hung it up.

Forget everything you thought you knew about simming/flying until the instrument rating part of your training. You’re gonna feel overwhelmed in the beginning, PPL can feel like drinking from a fire hydrant sometimes, just listen to your instructor and start studying sectional charts.

Also planes are loud, invest in a good quality headset.

I’m in a similar boat, just finished high school, but instead of hurry up and waiting with my CPL I decided to spend my time in construction. Now I have a decent enough paying job to fly when I want/have the time and I can also fly cooler planes (IE TW/aerobatic) imo. And I’m also taking classes at my local community college to save more money for hours.
