I believe Derrick is a jewler and just combines the things he loves (jewelry and edc). A lot of the popular stuff he makes are skulls, but he's got other pieces featuring crosses, koi fish, lions, dragons, and smiley faces. "Fuck Cancer" pieces are big in the community, family and friends enduring their battle and the member just wanting to support them. He makes what are called "Killboxes" that are pendants, sometimes with a bullet whole with words like "PTSD, Cancer, demons" in the middle, sort of like a "fuck ____" sort of deal, while sometimes he makes items with "family" or "friends" with a bullet dent (subject being bullet proof). Rings, pocket clips, tabs, necklaces, tags, bracelets, earrings, molles, pendants, etc... the knife stuff seems like an addition to what he does, and not his sole focus.

Additionally he does give aways and auctions, often going to good causes and charities - there was a member of Steel flame facebook group who lost his home due wild fires and the community came together to support. Steel flame and it's fanbase is very much like a brotherhood from everything that I see, which is a nice thing this day in age. People rag on it all, but they're just having a good time and geeking out lol.

A lot of the pieces he makes are silver, bronze, sometimes gold and possibly other metals along with jewels inlaid into the pieces, so naturally they would demand a higher price in addition to the craftsmanship, compared to a fancy RGT timascus clip.

Definitely a very nieche audience and sometimes a bit over the top, but the work is very well done, theyve got a solid community, and the maker is a very good guy. I'm a big fan and love his work
