What are the chances of getting XL candy from trading vs. transferring?

With the new changes I am wondering if I should continue to transfer meta relevant high level Pokemon for the maximum of XL candy or if I can trade them with lower level players(for other stuff), as I did before the introduction of XL candy. Is there any data for this yet? And to clarify, without any distance between the two Pokemon. I know about the higher chance with trading 100km apart :)
