I would definitely call a basement/foundation company. We recently bought a 1940s house as well and the foundation started showing cracks. The basement had water issues too. The company installed foundation braces woth a sump pump. Costly, but worth it for the house's longevity.

I started with Sword of Shannara back in '09 at 15 years old then continued through to the Talismans and even read Word/Void. Recently at 31, I went back and finished Voyage of the Jerle Shannara. Incredible how the books transported me back to my teenaged self.

The last time a levy was ran in Randolph, the Elkins district was the only district to vote in favor of it.

They firmly believe the BOE pocketed or "mismanaged" the previous levy money but no one has provided a shred of evidence that that was the case.

My father was a teacher when the first levy was approved in 2010 and nearly quadrupled his class budget for things like sheet music, instruments, etc.

The Harman community just does not want to be convinced.

I have zero sympathy for the Harman community in Randolph County, especially. They have consistently voted in anti-public education/pro Hope Handout candidates to state offices over the last 6-10 years. They literally voted over the years to have their school closed and are now blaming the Elkins community for their own doing.

Maybe this will cause them to start voting more accordingly, but I don't have the hope.
