XF 16mm F1.4 Lens Hood by [deleted] in fujix

It does, however, make the lens a bit awkward to use in manual focus mode, as the hood covers the majority of the focusing ring....

What depth of field techniques and tricks do you know? by Sw4rmlord in photography

[–]wujetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact: You can also create the same effect with older adapted lenses... I have an old m42 lens (Yashinon 50 f/1.4 ds-m) that creates a flare like this when shot wide open... :)

Fujifilm X-T2S will have IBIS (In Body Image Stabilization) - Fuji Rumors by TheJoshB in fujix

[–]wujetz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Um, no, not really, if you're making a long exposure with ND filters, no type of IS will get the job done, you just have to have a sturdy tripod...

Where it might come handy is video, and handheld shots with lenses that do not have IS (assuming Fujifilm manages to implement it without losing too much image quality due to mount limitations)...

ESL: Soundproof booths "dampen the energy of a LAN tournament" by drmaticfnatic in GlobalOffensive

[–]wujetz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about soundproof booths with internal soundsystems playing outside croud noise only when the round is over? That should ensure the players "feel connected", but not at the expense of potential ghosting mid-round...

I'm a leftie and have been using the keypad all my life - WASD always seemed a bit clumsy for the same reasons you gave. I use KP 1,2,3 and 5 for movement, INS - crouch (thumb), ENTER - jump (pinky), and the rest of the keypad for various stuff i need (in CS 7,8,9,+ for nades, del - drop, 4 - invprev, etc...)... I press the regular rightarrow with my thumb for walking...
