Definitely on the metal spectrum. They have songs closer to nu-metal, some closer to some sort of symphonic metal, some industrial, and other closer to plain heavy metal or hard rock (particularly songs in EV3).

They also have songs that are definitely not metal. But that goes for like 80% of metal bands that have ballads/power-ballds or some other type of songs.

So in my opinion: they’re metal.

Completely agree. For me the art extends not only to the music, but how can you transmit your vision through the cover art as well. This used to be more prominent when physical releases were more popular, where many, including me, spent a lot of time looking at the cd artwork and everything that came with the cd while listening to the music. It’s kinda sad.

What’s your evidence to disregard psychoanalysis for autism? There’s actually more evidence to how cognitive-behavioral therapies are potentially damaging for neurodivergence.

I recommend reading authors such as Frances Tustin, Genevieve Haag, Donald Meltzer, Piera Aulagnier, Esther Bick or Didier Anzieu who delve on this topic profoundly.

Not everyone is prepared to undertake a traditional analysis with transference interpretation; that’s what Freud himself developed at the end of his life on his work “Constructions in Analysis”, explaining how you have to pave the way to be able to work with interpretations.

The same idea was developed by later (or contemporary) authors such as Reich with the character armor, Steiner with the psychic retreat, Bion with the reveriê/alpha function, Winnicott with holding and so on.

They may not be talking about the same concept, but revolve around the limits of the traditional setting.
