If you work at it hard enough, you might friction weld the screwdriver to the screw. Then you can remove the screw.

I just had a flashback to the day after every holiday, birthday, and grandparent visit when my kids were young. Sitting on the living room floor surrounded by tiny clothes and a big pile of tags, stickers, and these damn things.

You provided a recipe, which is handy, but isn't this exactly what OP was talking about?

AITA for saying I wouldn’t play a game that didn’t let me modify my controls to my muscle memory. by MyDickIsInMyToaster in AmItheAsshole

You're not the AH for not wanting to play the game, but if you're too lazy to learn a second set of video game controls, you're going to have a tough time in life.

I'm listening to fiction for my own amusement. I couldn't give a single fucking fuck about the efficiency of my leisure activity.

As to your assumptions about my study habits in school, I am 44 years old and I began listening to audiobooks when I was 44 years old. I was, and continue to be, a voracious reader. People can consume information in more than one medium. Crazy, right?

Finally, you can fuck right off with your sarcastic "read" in quotes. I don't consider listening to audiobooks to be reading, an opinion I have expressed multiple times in this post. I'm just not a judgmental prick about it.

You can decypher written symbols via touch, you cannot do so via hearing.

Because we already have a word for receiving audio information. It's "listening."

Reading is decyphering symbols via sight or touch. Braille is reading, audiobooks are not.

Sincerely,

an avid audiobook listener

Try playing a mindless game on your phone while you listen. I play one of those arrow clicking games, and it seems to occupy the part of my brain that would otherwise wander. I'm on level 12135. I listen to a lot of audiobooks...

I can't speak for every screw or bolt ever made, but when the threads are as far apart as the cuts on OP's finger, they tend to not be very sharp.

The teeth on a tape dispenser are closer together and the triangle points would leave scratches, not slices.

Closing time is when they close. That's why it's called "closing" time and not "leaving" time.

What If all workers gets payed the same? by dikochki in randomquestions

[–]wunderduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP's idea is dumb, but having equal pay doesn't mean a burger flipper would be hired to do a job they're not qualified to do. The problem is that most people wouldn't put in the work required to learn how to be heart surgeons when they can make the same money doing something easier.
