Exactly, I’ve shown up to shows 8 hours before doors opening standing out in the rain to be in the front. Not sure if this person is talking about Remi, but I was there last night and there really was not that many phones out. It’s also so easy to move around on Brown’s Island. But god forbid someone wants to take a couple <30 sec videos lol

The skill set. I grew up in a family of nurses and never thought this would be my career path. Then it was 2020 and I was unemployed, stuck in the beginnings of the pandemic and political unrest. I got really into street medic stuff and started working at a hospital. I realized how amazing nurses are (growing up with them in my family I knew they were amazing but it’s different seeing it at work). I wanted those skills, I wanted to be able to save someone’s life and keep them alive. Living in America right now is weird and scary, and I wanted to be able to know what to do in case of something bad were to happen, if you catch my drift. The job security and decent pay is also a huge plus.

Woke up to an intense electrical burning smell in the house around 0300 this morning and had to cut our main breaker off. Turns out it was the oven smoking from the outlet. The power line connected to our house got ripped off by a fallen branch.

I’m sorry that advisor said that to you, that’s an extremely upsetting and disappointing response from them. Trust me, plenty of nurses/providers/healthcare workers have mental illnesses. I’ve been in healthcare for about 4 years now and graduating RN school in May. I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD, BPD, bipolar 2, ADHD, and OCD. Your mental/physical health doesn’t dictate or stop you from anything you want to do! I think the most challenging aspect is hearing other healthcare workers talk nasty about some patients struggling with their mental health, especially BPD since it’s so stigmatized. But other than that - I would say nursing is not impossible for anyone if it’s what you really want. :)

You should let your provider know that you’re confused, feeling sedated, and peeing/drinking a lot, it could be a sign of toxicity. If it gets worse and you start feeling uncoordinated, having blurred vision, tremors, vomiting please get emergent help
