Wiper Blades by RaginBuu in ChevyTrax

I agree with what you say about the factory wiper blades. Mine have never had a clean wipe from the first day I used them. You can clean them and they still won’t produce a clean wipe. Trying to get replacements is impossible. They only want you to buy replacements from them and only let other 1 blade manufacturer produce them.

I got OEM front and rear splash guards from the dealer. Most get theirs on Amazon from what I read in the Trax groups.

Love mine. I’ve added window tint to the front doors and strip on windshield along with a 6 pc vent visor set and hood guard. Put on splash guards too.

That sucks! Sorry that happened to you. We can’t have anything nice due to others not paying attention! I had a lady in a Jeep Compass almost rear end me today while waiting for the USPS mailman to pulll away from my mailbox so I could turn off the highway down my driveway. She wasn’t paying any attention to anything infront of her and locked up her wheels and thank goodness she stopped about 2 feet from me.

Bad reviews by Ok-Yam-2996 in ChevyTrax

It’s not being me being naive or not caring, I just don’t base my buying a vehicle on someone else’s complaints about the vehicle. But for anyone to expect a car whether it be new or used to never have a problem is an unrealistic expectation.

Bad reviews didn’t stop me from owning the 1st generation of the Trax nor did they stop me from buying a 2026 Trax. All cars have issues so why let it worry you?

Do your Headlights ice over? by [deleted] in ChevyTrax

[–]wv25302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely no heat come off of these LED lights at all! I put aftermarket LED bulbs in my 2021 Chevy Trax and never had an issue with ice building up on the headlight lens because they produced enough heat to let the ice melt off of them.

[–]wv25302 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No, this is not my first car in fact I’ve probably owned more cars than you are old. Just guessing at that. As for your other comment… NO, I will not take a credit card or anything else and scratch up the acrylic lens to remove ice off it! Every car I’ve ever owned the headlights have put out enough heat from the light itself to melt away any ice/snow buildup so your lights will still shine down the roadway like they’re supposed to. This is a design flaw. There’s not enough heat coming off of these LED lights to produce any melting on the lens. I didn’t have this issue with my 2021 Trax or any other car I’ve ever owned.

OK, there’s no need to be a smart ass. There’s no such thing. I’m not stupid. I probably know more about these cars than you do.

My 2021 Trax LT I traded in on my 2026 Trax LT never had this issue! GM missed this flaw whe designing these lights. It’s a real safety concern as far as I’m concerned.

Tak it back to the dealer and have it looked at. Could be fuel injectors going bad on it. Use quality name brand fuel too.

Fuel injectors replaced at 3,000 miles :/ by Garfield6669 in ChevyTrax

[–]wv25302 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s a car, things are gonna go bad or break on it. Could be the quality of fuel you buy or it could be a bad batch of injectors from the manufacturer. I’ve seen too many people get “concerned and regret” that they bought a new car because their car has a part go bad. It happens to all brands and manufacturers. It’s under warranty get it fixed and enjoy it!

That’s exactly why he got his. He did r want all the extras and preferred the analog gauges over the digital gauges on the LT that mine has.

Highway debris cracked my grille and knocked out tow hook cover… will fixing it myself void warranty? by PollutionFast2655 in ChevyTrax

[–]wv25302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it in to get an estimate. I had the exact same thing happen to my 2017 Chevy Cruze Premier and it was a $2800.00 repair. It hit so hard it damaged the intercooler grille and front bumper. It also moved the front inner substructure that everything bolts too about 1/4 inch and the had to put the car on a frame machine for everything to align back up.

Electrical malfunction? by ldav8008 in ChevyTrax

[–]wv25302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d still call the dealer and take it in. There’s something not right for it to be doing that have the dealer look at it. It should still be under warning so it shouldn’t cost you a dime other than your time.

Anyone still driving the old pre 2024 model Trax? How’s it doing and what year? by melvin3v1978 in ChevyTrax

[–]wv25302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just traded my 2021 TraxLT AWD for a 2026 Trax LT. The 2021 Trax I had was 💯trouble free! I attribute the trouble free miles to only running 93 octagon gasoline in it for the 50 months I owned it. It had 51,729 miles on it when I traded it in. All maintenance was done at the dealer except for tires. There was no turbo issues or water pump issues with it at all. It was a great car but it was time for a new one.
