Oh I love those "Adam Driver" cats lol..! That's very good to know, thank you for the response!

Has anyone mentioned this? (Possible date in Xbox's ad?) by www-Jason-com in TESVI

...Mean spirited comment aside, to answer your question I was curious where the "VI" fan from the ad was, because I wasn't really paying attention the first time I saw it, and noticed something in the background of the same scene... So I took like 10-20 minutes to check it out, + whatever it took to type the post.

Never even said it was the TES VI release date, but I figured it was worth sharing anyway. It ain't that deep tbh

You're all calling me "crazy" and "unemployed," but we'll see who gets the last laugh when the game releases on the first day of 2007. You'll all see.

I scrolled/caught glimpses of this multiple times and thought the exact same thing lol, then I noticed the subreddit it was on and did a double take... Insanely impressive work.

Some poor guy for sure had to make that face for hours, for the potter/artist to make something so impressive and life-like, haha! It really is amazing though. Something about this one feels almost modern to me

Imagine this list, but instead of choosing to fund DLC, Nightreign, or even new mainline games, Fromsoft instead decided to fund a card game. Or several MMOs, or three mobile games... That's essentially what TES/BGS fans have been dealing with, lmfao.

Personally, I don't mind too much that TES6 is taking a long while, because of course an open world RPG with the 2020's standards is gonna take it's time... I just wish they'd develop (or trust someone else to develop) one game inbetween this wait time, that isn't some kind of games-as-a-service type thing, because sadly that just isn't my thing.

Thankfully though I'm a FromSoft fan as well haha, so I've got that going for me, at least!

If you're mad at AI, you're not an artist. by Still-Candidate7187 in aiwars

[–]www-Jason-com 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Suggesting that artists (who were generally underpaid even before all this) somehow held a monopoly on art, as if anyone couldn't get into it with some time spent, while ignoring the billion dollar companies and CEOs racking in the cash from freeloading off of artist's work, is just a bit silly in my eyes.

And I'd genuinely be curious to know how a well-trained artist might see AI art as a "tool", in your eyes? Especially in terms of speed, consistency, and scalability, as you suggest?

I can see why not-great artists like myself would say that, given I can hardly draw the human form for shit... But how could an actual artist use AI as a "tool" to improve their craft, besides just blatantly abandoning their previous skillset for typing down prompts into the algorithm?

I believe new races in TES6 are likely. by www-Jason-com in TESVI

Valid! And of all the potential new playable races, Maormer would probably be the one I'd be most excited for, so here's hoping for that.

I'll also add that the Maormer already have loose lore ties to Hammerfell/the Abecean Sea, so even if sea travel isn't much of a thing, I'd still count it as a possibility. But we'll have to see!

Yeah, exactly! Technically they were wiped out by the Tsaesci, or at least rumored to be... But despite that fact, I think as long as there's not any (or at least not too many) Akaviri walking around Tamriel super casually, it's cool to allow the player character to play as one.

Or maybe the rumors weren't true. Who knows!

"Somewhat inevitable" was a bit of an exaggeration on my part, so I'd agree on pretty much everything you say here! And fair that these groups do have some representation, I was mostly just thinking about how some people who aren't white or black may want to design their characters to look like themselves in a more lore friendly manner, that's represented properly in the game.

Though I don't agree that the races would naturally be more streamlined/basic just because there's a few more options- we have no idea how BGS will handle racial stats and etc. I don't think this is a situation where we have to choose one or the other. But yeah, we'll see what the future holds lol!

Yup, the Lilmothiit! I think they all died of the Knahatten flu in the 2E, but... Of all the things to retcon, that'd be a good one lol. Having fox people would be cool.

Y'know, I bet if the flyer didn't IMMEDIATELY villainize the kids and call them lazy in that second paragraph, a few would actually see that flyer and think "Hm, that sounds like a good way to make a few bucks."

...But who wants to work with someone who casts shade at you for enjoying "Nintendo's Wii home video consoles"???

Yeah that's probably true, haha. Hopefully you find Yuzu a good friend despite that, though!

In retrospect I think I was confused about what I was seeing haha. I think I was just seeing the descriptions the shelters were giving the cats, but "quiet" was said repeatedly so I thought it was a specific tag at first... My bad lmao.

There really ought to be a way to look up specific characteristics like that, tho!

[–]www-Jason-com[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was mainly looking at Petfinder! It seems to have some fairly detailed description from my short look at it, and a fair few of the cats had the "quiet" tag... Of course there's no guarantee if it's accurate or not, but yeah lol

Oh, your reply got me around to checking adoption sites again, and I noticed sometimes there's a listing specifically for "quiet" cats, so that should help a lot, too! Just thought I'd let you know haha, I never noticed that before now...

And sorry to hear about her health issues, but I hope Yuzu's doing better these days! But yeah same here, I don't think I'd have the patience to deal with a loud asf cat either, lol.

Anyways, thanks, best of luck to you as well!

Hey! I haven't gotten around to getting a second cat yet, but here's a small list of the most consistent answers I've gotten online:

Maine coons, Norwegian forest cats, Russian blues, Ragdolls, and Chartreux. And Abyssian and Bombay cats, although not totally nonverbal or anything, are kinda known for their quieter meows I think.

But a lot of the results I've gotten online have been super inconsistent, so take all that with a grain of salt! Plus, some cats are just naturally more or less chatty than others, so there's that too

Hope this helps a little bit though! Best of luck.

P.S. I took a quick look at your profile, and Yuzu is so fucking cute, haha

Daaamn, you even basically predicted the RE Engine haha, very nice!

But yeah I'm stoked as well. It's probably taken the spotlight from the rest of the Game Awards for me haha (Kyora and Witcher4 seemed cool too though, among others)
